Automation and seamless incident handling transform operational efficiency
I would like AI to be more integrated into Cisco Intersight. It would be great to have a chat session mode AI so that when I am on standby and encountering issues, I could engage with it, much like ChatGPT. For instance, if I need to find commands for UCS Manager, it should provide that information.

Struggled with complex licensing and limited support but have gained unified cloud monitoring
We face certain challenges with monitoring website uptime for our business operations because we don't have that 24/7 monitoring, so that's what we are working with ManageEngine on, regarding how effectively we can use that. I may not be able to give that information on how ManageEngine Site24x7 can be improved, but I felt that the monitoring or the licensing terms, such as the advanced monitors or monitors, are not very user-friendly. I feel that because I don't know how exactly we can check what devices use which license and how we can control those things; that's not user-friendly. For example, if I have to look at what all devices are utilizing my advanced monitor license or what all devices are using my basic monitor license, then if I want to pull a report or validate them, I don't have an easy option; it's too complicated.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool helps to manage Cisco servers."
"Overall, I rate Cisco Intersight a ten out of ten."
"What I like best about Cisco Intersight is the way it's developing and converging into everything that the cloud has to offer, e.g. it's converging into one platform which is good."
"I rate it a ten out of ten. I don't have any issues with it."
"This solution has provided time savings and required fewer people to operate this tool."
"Cisco Intersight allows us to manage our data center remotely, which is crucial as our data center is located in a different physical environment."
"Intersight can validate our environment."
"It offers visibility and optimization of workloads, which are very important features for a company."
"Site24x7 stands out. It is truly amazing."
"The deployment was not a challenge for us, because we are just trying to connect to the cloud instance; it's SaaS-based, so we just had to route all our traffic to that particular device."
"One of the valuable features of this site is that it operates 24/7, monitoring my entire infrastructure, uptime, and related error issues."

Cons

"Cisco Intersight's license cost is very high compared to AWS and Azure solutions, which have lower initiation costs. The high initial cost is a significant concern."
"Cisco Intersight is a stable product, but it needs some improvement."
"More products should be made compatible with iWORK, including more software and hardware."
"There is a significant issue regarding migration from UCS Manager into Intersight without formatting the Fabric Interconnects (FI), which is problematic in a production environment."
"The solution needs some enhancement in order to build the cluster in two nodes."
"The product's setup should be easier."
"The firmware management in the S-Series is not as Cisco described when we purchased it. You should be able to manage firmware without bringing the host down, but that is not the case."
"Cisco Intersight needs some improvement in terms of stability. Hybrid cloud management and proper hyperscaler tie-up are other areas for improvement."
"The only complaint I would state about the technical support by ManageEngine is we don't get them on call; it's only email support that we get."
"The product is not difficult to use. That said, it is technical. The engineer must be familiar with it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You can get a free license for monitoring but need to purchase a license if you need extra control."
"Cisco Intersight is not cheap, but it's not the most expensive product either."
"It's just the standard licensing cost. There are no additional fees."
"The product is cost-effective."
"Cisco Intersight has competitive pricing. On a scale of one to five, my rating for its pricing is four."
