Has improved security and enabled remote work flexibility across teams
The best features Check Point Remote Access VPN offers are its security features, which stand out to me. Whenever we are giving the remote access VPN to any employees or vendors, we can specify and control particular access. If we want to give access to a particular IP only, we can achieve that via this feature, and we also apply security features such as antivirus and anti-spyware while giving access to any employees or partners. The ability to control and specify access with Check Point Remote Access VPN, such as limiting to particular IPs or applying antivirus and anti-spyware, makes our environment safe from cyber threats and any types of malicious activities or accessing our private data. We control this through the feature by applying security policies that allow particular users. After deploying Check Point Remote Access VPN solution, I can say that our productivity has maximized. Users are working from home and even working 24/7. If they want, they can access our resources at any time, providing flexibility to work from anywhere. Employees say that sometimes they are not available during the working hour, but they can work from home at their flexible timing, needing access to our private network resources. They sit at home or any remote site and connect to our network to work, which is very good.

Pros

"It is a scalable solution...The technical support team of the solution is very good."
"The ability to create your trigger data domains is the solution's most valuable feature."
"The solution is easy for administrators because you can check logs and write rules on the same page."
"The headache of connecting has been removed."
"Previously, we had around 15 corporate clients; through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have managed to grow and now have around 35 new corporate clients and more than 6,000 people connected by VPN, which has forced us to increase our infrastructure to support all these connections and have a stable, reliable, and, above all, scalable solution that can interconnect more clients."
"The security of the solution is a good feature, the stability is a valuable feature, and the customization is also a nice feature."
"The Check Point solution offered us an unlimited number of users and that made the solution very scalable."
"The solution offers great security features, including zero-day protection, malware protection, anti-phishing, et cetera."
"The scalability of Pulse Client is good."
"It also provides an auto-connect feature. When you turn on your laptop and put it on auto-connect, it automatically connects."
"Pulse Client is a very good solution; it is very easy to manage, and very stable."
"The most valuable feature of Pulse Client is integration with Google authenticator for two-factor authentication."

Cons

"The configuration of Check Point Remote Access VPN could be simplified so that there will be no complex steps to configure it and maintain it."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN can be improved in throughput, as when multiple users are connected through the Remote Access VPN, there can be an issue where only a single user can access our single servers, which needs to be resolved."
"The main feature that would be improved within Check Point Remote Access is its operation within Linux OS, as it currently does not have many features for that OS."
"They need to increase their timeout. Right now, it will fail after ten seconds, however, it shouldn't fail until after 20 seconds."
"There was complexity in the initial setup."
"Connection of devices from various locations is efficient though there are a few challenges when there is a network failure."

"Ivanti Secure Access and Zscaler provide secure access to corporate networks, their methods and features may differ."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I give the price of the solution a five out of ten."
"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
"The solution is pretty expensive. The rating is an eight."
"The price of this product is good."
"The product is expensive. I rate its pricing a ten out of ten. For the cost of one product, we could purchase two or three Fortinet solutions with the same amount of money."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"My understanding is that the pricing and licensing are very competitive, and it's not one of their more expensive products. We buy licenses for the solution and have licenses for the endpoint servers."
"Pulse Client has two types of licenses. One is subsistence-based and the second is perpetual-based. The license cost is good, it is not very costly."
