Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Our experience with technical support at Automation Anywhere has been great. They have been very helpful, especially during the PoC, processes which are sort of early on in their sales cycle, or when we were just starting with Automation Anywhere a couple of years ago. We got great support for getting it onboarded in-house and getting our team up to speed. So, we have found it to be a great partnership."
"The ease of use for the end user and the very low complexity in trying to build a bot are the big factors for us. We are able to work on a project, identify a use case, come up with a design spec, and execute and build a bot within a span of six to eight weeks. In nine to ten weeks, we are able to go live, which reduced complexity. Once we go live, the user interface and the user experience are extremely good."
"Working with the Automation Anywhere application is very easy in our environment."
"Most of the features are valuable."
"Overall, I would rate Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten."
"The marketing automation software provides easy workflow creation and management."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its ease of use."
"It is an easy product. It is easier and less complex than any other RPA tool in the market. It is a popular product."
"The solution has a lot of great features inside of it that clients can take advantage of."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which helps to provide a good user experience."
"The main features of the solution are the IQ Bot and web-based automation."
"Productivity increased far more than thirty percent."
"Overall, we've been happy with the solution."
"Last year I faced a problem and, subsequently, raised a ticket, and the support team is great and they helped me to resolve the issue within three or four days."
"It is easy to use and very stable. It is a rugged product, and it doesn't break so easily."
"The product has increased efficiency and reduced the time spent on tasks."
"Using Agentic AI, which integrates AI with UiPath Platform, allows me to give prompts or lines to the Agentic bots, enabling them to generate or automate flows easily and streamline developer tasks."
"Positive factors include ease of development, ease of maintenance, robust security, and a very good installed client base."
"Overall, the solution has saved costs for our clients, reduced human error, and allowed employees to focus their time on higher-value work, leading to greater satisfaction as they no longer have to stay late doing repetitive, heads-down tasks."
"So far, the conversation around automation and cultural change has been really powerful in terms of re-thinking our processes and asking if there's a better way to do it."
"The most valuable aspect of UiPath is that it doesn't require much coding."
"The most valuable features are the UiPath studio tools with the recording feature to capture the navigation of the process on the screen."
"UiPath Studio has all kinds of tools and it's practical to navigate around the application. Implementing any project can be done very quickly using UiPath."
"Be it any mundane tasks like invoice processing, document management, document extraction, and migration, order processing, KYC filling, application integration, Citrix automaton, or any such rule-based tasks can be automated with RPA technology."

Cons

"With any new upgrades, we have to make changes in the codes. To us, this means that the tool is not stable. We have been told by Automation Anywhere that this will be fixed in future releases."
"However, it does not work as well with retrieving data from images."
"The version that we are using has been difficult for us to code. As changes are very frequent, we have to make sure the code can be updated automatically so we don't have to make a change every time a user makes a change. Then, the user doesn't have to update us and we don't have to push a change to production. We have found a workaround with the help of the Automation Anywhere support people for this."
"I believe Automation Anywhere needs to improve on product quality. Sometimes it has intermittent issues."
"They need to make the AA stable across all browsers and I hope to see it fixed in the next version."
"Also, we're seemingly plagued with certain technological issues or bugs."
"Automation Anywhere could improve its integration with Python and other programming languages."
"I would suggest going with Microsoft Power Automate rather than Automation Anywhere because Power Automate's cloud flow is easier to use."
"We do have some troubles with the internal software commands, but we have been troubleshooting this bug to fix it."
"An area for improvement in BotFarm is that the communication between the Control Room and the Bot Client Missions isn't utilized well. There's also the issue with PCI DSS compliance or certain regulations that require a set of configurations that are not fully supported by BotFarm. The product should be certified or designed according to the required regulations in the finance industry to make it better."
"The implementation isn't straightforward. It's a bit complex in terms of deployment as there are a lot of settings you need to handle."
"It would be ideal if the solution offered more language options, such as Arabic."
"The deployment could be made a little bit easier."
"One aspect that can be improved is the accessibility of reusable components for developers. It relates to role-based access and accessibility."
"The image processing capabilities definitely need to be improved."
"I would like to have access to self-service support."
"Technical support could be improved."
"The licensing has been a challenge in terms of what is included with our current license."
"The testing and release schedule for Studio should be improved because we find that with two releases per year, one of the versions is stable and the other one is not."
"Governing components in the solution, such as the Orchestrator, and configuring the robots should be easier. The vendor should also come up with more offerings or features involving AI."
"UiPath's OCR features could be improved. It's to do complex OCR captures with UiPath. I would also like improvements in the dashboard for executing processes."
"I find that the UiPath Platform's selectors sometimes break if the UI changes, which can be a little frustrating."
"They could work to improve the user community."
"This one area is lacking, but I attribute this to the constantly evolving platform."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution's pricing is pretty decent."
"The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
"If we talk about the automation RPA. it definitely has worked very well for us. I'm talking about giving good savings, about more than 180 FTE savings, after implementing more than 200 plus bots. It has worked well. As an organization, it has supported us very well, and also for our customers."
"The major reason that we selected Automation Anywhere was the licensing model."
"Automation Anywhere's pricing falls within the mid-range, but the long-term benefits outweigh the initial investment."
"It's justified because we have saved quite a bit of money at the company and many manual hours. Overall, it justifies the cost."
"The cost is at the highest end of the spectrum."
"I really enjoy the pricing options with Automation Anywhere, as they are able to flex their ability to adapt to the needs of the customer really well."
"Licenses are paid on a yearly basis and the cost is quite high."
"An unattended bot license costs around $5,000, whereas an attended bot license costs roughly $1,500."
"The license of this solution is on an annual basis. The price is fair. However, what we did initially was a POC, but now we are looking at moving from a POC to expanding it out further. I would appreciate some kind of discount."
"Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price."
"We pay approximately $15,000 USD per year."
"I am very happy with the pricing."
"The product is slightly expensive"
"The pricing model could be simplified."
"UiPath is slightly more expensive than Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Automate."
"Even though our clients may have an Automation Anywhere ecosystem, they choose UiPath due to budget and cost. Apart from cost, both platforms offer almost all the features."
"Pricing is quite reasonable with UiPath and there are some tools which are free to use."
"It's costly compared to other tools in the market. Other than that, it is very good."
"UiPath is more cost-effective than any other tool."
"Different licenses are used to activate features that the organization wants to use. For example, they offer licenses for UiPath Studio X, attended automation, unattended automation, document understanding, and so forth."
"There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."
"The price of both UiPath and Automation Anywhere is high. The basic package is included in the price, but in case you require any professional or golden package, you have to pay a higher price."
