Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Frees up employee time but can't run when computer system is locked
Something that could be improved is that this solution can't run when the computer is locked, which meant we had to implement it in our own on-prem server as it never auto-locks. It would be better if, when we have scheduled a scenario, it would log into the system automatically.

Pros

"Because of this product's features, I would rate Automation Anywhere as a game changer."

"It is easy to automate SAP by using Cloning and Metabot."
"With Automation Anywhere you can read and extract CSV data easily. You don't need multiple commands to read it."
"I find Automation Anywhere (AA) to be really fast on the development side."
"All customers were happy after automating using AA because of the better accuracy, it's easy to develop and manage, and it's easy to manage the orchestrator."
"Automation is going to become a new area we will certainly encourage a lot of people to pursue because of the lasting dividends it provides, including saving time and manpower."
"Without thinking twice, I would recommend going for Automation Anywhere."
"The most valuable features are PDF extraction and emailing."
"We use this solution for automating the gathering of information from 15 disparate applications, with several bots in customer service and finance to increase efficiency and reduce manual work in different areas."
"One of the advantages of Automation Anywhere is that the Bot Insight feature is built-in."
"Overall, this is a pretty good product and nobody else in the market is providing RPA at this level."
"The record option and the OCR technology have been great."
"The solution has been very user-friendly."
"The most valuable features I have found to be the screen scraping and the integration with third-party solutions."
"Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
"NTT-AT WinActor has allowed our employees to focus on other things rather than the repetitive tasks that can now be given to the robot."
"This software is very smart - it can decide from a picture if we like that condition, and then the robot will do that action."
"The tool's most valuable feature is data import. The OCR feature helps to recognize the data. It can recognize screen and document numbers well."

Cons

"AA sometimes poses compatibility problems with new web browser versions like Chrome."
"I believe Automation Anywhere needs to improve on product quality. Sometimes it has intermittent issues."
"We have a few issues which have persisted. These end up restarting the machine. We are hoping in version 11.3 of Automation Anywhere, our compatibility and infrastructure issues will be resolved."
"There have been problems with scalability. It comes down to how we handle the code."
"The marketing for Automation Anywhere has room for improvement."
"An option should be provided to disable the flow and dual-mode since those are not used often by the developers, and hence take up extra space on the screen."
"When it comes to reading email, this solution is unstable and improvements need to be made."
"In my opinion, there are always areas for improvement in Automation Anywhere, and they are continuously working on enhancements."
"The pricing of this product could be better."
"I would like to be able to access BotForm using a mobile app."
"The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false."
"The only challenge that we have faced with BotFarm is that there is no continuous deployment. The whole world is moving to the DevOps model, but BotFarm is still not on the DevOps model. It should have integration with the DevOps model. The migration of the bots or bots pipeline is currently purely manual."
"The deployment could be simplified."
"The deployment could be made a little bit easier."
"The solution can improve the accuracy of hand-written data reading"
"Normally we need to monitor the solution using an AWS console and the control room. We would like to have a standardized dashboard to see all the information in one place."
"Something that could be improved is that this solution can't run when the computer is locked, which meant we had to implement it in our own on-prem server as it never auto-locks."
"The OCR has issues recognizing handwritten data."
