We've saved significant time by reducing manual processing
Boost has helped to reduce our interchange costs. Intercept's virtual card payment process has reduced fees by about $350,000 to $400,000. It generates a custom file to import into our system, making posting easy. We didn't realize the full benefit until a year into our deployment. They didn't have a report built for us yet, so we weren't posting in real time. We added customers to it, so we got some immediate financial benefits, but the reporting didn't come until later. We've saved significant time by reducing manual processing using Boost. It has saved our team about 10 to 15 hours monthly. It has also saved our card processing costs by around $350,000 to $400,000 and ten hours of time a month. It saves us around a quarter of an FTE.

Has reduced manual effort through customization and streamlined API-based integrations
The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want. The triggers and reports are built very well and user-friendly, so I can modify this, and this is one of the best features it provides. The import functionality helps because once I download the template from Sage Intacct, I can fill out the specific columns with the data that I need to import into the system, and it will do the work instead of adding those details manually. The platform services allow me to add functionalities such as sending an email once I generate any AP bill or approve vendors. Additionally, I can call external API services or Sage Intacct API to validate those fields, which is good for users. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization through improved collaboration and saved time. I can import data easily, and since it is user-friendly, I encounter fewer errors. For example, the work I used to do in one or two days now gets completed in one or two hours.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"As far as credit card processors or third-party credit card payment issuers go, they are fairly easy to work with. People we work with tend to be responsive when we have concerns or questions."
"I just like that Boost is hands-off. That's the biggest thing for me."
"Since we have started with it, we have saved over 400 hours of human intervention and human processing."
"The value we get from Boost is that we don't need to run credit cards on our network. They consolidate the cash and give it to us."
"The Boost Intercept service is responsive and provides excellent on-the-spot communication, invaluable for addressing my numerous questions."
"Their customer service is excellent. The automation streamlines the process for supplier success cards."
"The impact has been that it increased our onboarding of vendors to the program, enabling us to grow tremendously."
"Sage Intacct has impacted our organization very positively; we now have a good relationship with Sage Intacct and are working on new projects for Sage Intacct."
"The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want."
"I have seen a good return on investment using Sage Intacct, as it has greatly contributed to finance transformation in our operations and helped scale our finance operations and transform our processes."
"The most significant advantage of this solution is its pure cloud-based nature."
"The user-friendliness of Sage Intacct has helped my team and clients by saving customer time and our developers' and consultants' time; for instance, if a project takes 100 hours on Sage X3, it only takes about 60 or 50 hours on Intacct, allowing us to manage it from anywhere since it is cloud-based."
"The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want."
"The product is easy to use."
"Every client we have is very satisfied with the product."

Cons

"The pricing, in some instances, is an area for improvement."
"Boost could add a dashboard to show who's paying us and when. We could see if there's an issue with payments and correct it. Currently, we need to wait for the file to come in or the customer to tell us about the issue."
"It would be nice if Boost had a portal where you could log in and see the transactions. I'm not sure if they don't have one, but I suggest getting one."
"They have pretty much accommodated every special request I have had. The only thing that I can think of improving is reverse prospecting."
"If it was possible to have our payments go through Boost but have Boost initiate something like ACH payments, that would be great."
"It would be good if the training were perfect for all controllers, to teach them the basic tools and how to use everything in Sage Intacct."
"Sage Intacct can be improved because it is not always intuitive; there is a lot of money that goes into customization and reworking, and when they pilot new enhancements, they have an early adopter promo that can come with bugs."
"The main area that everyone wants to improve in Sage Intacct is Cash Management, so I think Cash Management requires more improvement."
"Customer support can be improved, as they sometimes respond with a delay. For instance, if I expect a response in two days, I receive it in four to five days."
"I wish Sage Intacct had a more robust interface with their help desk, as right now getting help with Sage is sometimes slow and clunky."
"The mobile integration was still lacking on that front."
"The change order process in Sage Intacct could be smoother and easier, and I believe the ability to perform lien waivers and invoices in bulk, as well as improvements in inventory management, could enhance the system."
"The page expires really fast if I have idle time or am working on something else while finding an amount or looking at an invoice."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is generally good, although we encountered a pricing dilemma with one customer."
"We do not pay anything. As a supplier, we are receiving our payments through Boost. There is no fee for us to opt into it. The only fee is the credit card fee."
"The pricing has been negotiable. It is not just one price. We are able to negotiate the price, which is great."
"It's reasonably priced, offering fixed pricing, which is quite fair."
"Compared to other ERP systems on the market, it offers competitive and reasonable pricing."
"Sage is on the higher end of pricing."
"The price is comparable to other companies which offer similar products."
