Secures email by identifying threats and managing email policies effectively
The intuitive management interface feature makes email security policies very easy to implement as it's all about features that need to be enabled or disabled. Our investigation in any incident or mail is very useful as it provides all details about incoming mails, enabling thorough review and detection. The real-time threat intelligence feature is particularly useful as it detects all kinds of threats identified by incoming mails. The Impersonation license utilizes AI tools. Sometimes some phishing mails are reported as phishing, but they are not actually phishing mails. They are detected due to certain words and languages that appear suspicious but were generated by AI tools. Everyone or an advisor may use it for their own purpose or learning, even though it indicates that the mail detected is phishing when it's not.

Pros

"This appliance has helped in that we now eliminate the thousands of scams, spam, and malware emails that are destined for our users."
"It is lightweight, and we can filter all of our inbound and outbound emails. We have controls for rate control, quarantine, and tagging. We can see whether an email is a spam email or a phishing email."
"One advantage is its immediate deployment capability. So the fast speed to deploy is a big plus point."
"For the moment the solution is good."
"The solution helps us to block some blacklisted emails."
"Barracuda Email Security Gateway has a good feature of email spooling, which acts as a first line of security."
"The security protection is the best and it's GUI is user-friendly."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The solution has proven to be quite user-friendly, it's easier to deploy than other options, it's a stable product, the performance has been flawless, we found the solution to be scalable, the dashboards are good, and its price point is fair and reasonable."
"The solution has been very stable over the years."
"This is a reasonably stable solution."
"The most valuable features of Forcepoint Email Security are the integration with other solutions, providing a more secure infrastructure and views for the customers from the DLP, and the ability to work on URLs, files, and advanced inspections that will protect the customers."
"It's easier to deploy than other options."
"Using Forcepoint, we have created policies and rules for any suspicious mail, it is blocked and only released by an admin's approval."
"The solution is very easy for administration."
"The email and the web filter aspects of the solution are the most valuable features."

Cons

"This product can always be made more secure."
"We had an incident where we didn't want to receive any emails or spam from a certain site and email address; we selected the mail ID and sent it to Barracuda for analysis to see if it's spam or something like that, and as of now, we haven't gotten any update or notification as to what happened with it."
"Barracuda could improve its log and export options like PDF and HDML. It can also bring in more detailing in their console so that it could be better. Some new features should be expanded and made accessible for better protection."
"The solution should include an improvised anti-phishing feature, since it blocks certain genuine emails."
"The solution could improve by adding DomainKeys (DKIM) functionality. This is something that is essentially required nowadays for outbound security."
"Barracuda's spam database isn't on par with its competitors. Users complain about the spam email they're receiving, and we report the issue."
"I have noticed that it takes a little time to get familiar with after deploying and some tweaks need to be done as things come up."
"We detect some failures in some mails; not all mails pass through consistently. Some mails pass while others are dropped without any apparent logic, despite having the policy set for specific recipients or senders."
"The pricing could always be just a little bit better."
"Technical support is lacking. It could be a lot better."
"The pricing could always be just a little bit better."
"Forcepoint Email Security is stable, but it could be improved."
"Forcepoint Email Security is stable, but it could be improved."
"I would like for deployment to be simplified."
"The solution could use better integration capabilities."
"I would like to see some improvement like cloud application and integration capabilities and the classification part is missing from the DLP."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is an expensive solution and I would rate it 5 out of 10."
"The price of the solution should be reduced. The price in the USA is less than where we are. Our local distributor of the solution is manipulating the market."
"This is one of the major points for integrating this solution in any organization. Barracuda Email Security Gateway needs to make it a bit more tolerable for customers because it is increasing every year. They should create a plan for reducing the cost."
"We pay between $8 and $10 USD per user per month."
"It is a cost-effective and relatively cheap solution as compared to others. Our customers have a yearly subscription. We do have a few customers with monthly subscriptions, but they have cloud-based Email protection, which is a different type of solution. Both solutions are very good."
"We are using the trial version right now, and before purchasing the license, we need to solve some of the issues that we are facing. We need a proper solution for our email, and then we will look into pricing. We have a vendor for licensing."
"We paid for an annual license."
"We find the solution's pricing okay."
"The licensing is user base (per user). The product is purchased mostly by medium to large companies. For smaller companies, we have other solutions because the pricing is not cheap."
"My company pays for Forcepoint Email Security licensing annually."
"Its licensing is quite easy and straightforward. They have two or three suites, and the price is negotiable. It depends upon the size of the deal. They have multiple licenses. The standard is one, and then there are additional licenses that you can go for. There are three or four licensing models. You have the network suite, endpoint suite, email security, and the standard one."
"When compared to other email security solutions, the price is not cheap."
"There are three types of support licenses."
"Licensing is a yearly subscription that is based on the number of users."

Hi Kamal, Firstly, you would have to recognize that there is/are no fast and hard rules to choosing a final preferred product, what works well for company A may not work extensively well for company B. Reason being that: the efficiency of the Security capabilities provided by one tool can be amplified by another tool, particularly for secure email gateway. Hence, if you have an XDR that you in...

Top brands don't mean best or most cost-effective. My advice is to look a bit further before you make a decision. Evidence suggests that most top brands are pretty good at detecting and blocking malicious attachments, best case letting through 1%, but can be worse than 50% when it comes to detecting malicious links in the text of the email.  There are numerous less well-known vendors with lower-cost AI-based solutions that have a far better success rate, also providing employees the ability to report on suspect emails which auto-removes them from other staff members' inboxes until they have been properly assessed. Some will provide a visual risk score to the recipient to give them advance warning to be more cautious. Combining this kind of capability with staff awareness products keeps your vendor list lower and further improves efficiency. For around £2 GBP per user per month (less than $3) we provide different vendors depending upon the customer's environment but provided as a managed service. This allows our customers to outsource some of the monitoring and day-to-day management, spread the cost on a monthly basis, and flex how many licences they need on a monthly basis too i.e. if you drop 20 users don't pay for them but if you increase by 20 you don't need complex co-termination and pro rata discussions.

I only can recommend Cisco because it´s the only one with which I'd worked enough. I think it is powerful enough and has a lot of possibilities. In addition, to a great support team.
