Has supported secure data storage with incremental backups and centralized monitoring
Azure Backup supports all the features that we need, so additional features are not an immediate need for me. The documentation for Azure Backup seems okay for me; it is good overall, but it should be more descriptive for each item. It should elaborate more on how backup and restore are fulfilled in different scenarios. One of the reviews indicates that Azure Backup needs improvements for specific backup options beyond just full VM snapshots. I believe it should be improved actually. Regarding specific backup options, I say there should be improvements compared to how they provided them in older days.

Given its ease of use and management, I believe there are no specific caveats that users need to be aware of during the setup of DXRIS for backups. The process was straightforward, and I did not encounter any challenges or issues. As for a rating on a scale of one to ten, with one being the worst and ten being the best, I would rate the Quantum DXI Series a nine. My deduction is primarily influenced by personal preferences, particularly regarding the user interface and it is a highly commendable system, I would rate it a solid nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is security and connectivity to the data."
"The tool has a lot of features."
"I like that it's a stable solution and their support is good. I think Microsoft's commercial force is superior."
"It is a stable solution...It is a highly scalable solution."
"The compression features save us money and speed up the backup and restore process."
"My customer's experience with Azure Backup's data recovery capabilities is good."
"The solution is cost-effective, the backup features are very useful, and the solution overall is very reliable."
"Switching to Azure has saved us thousands; the hardware is always updated and we're now able to invest more in our staff which is highly beneficial because it translates to satisfied clients."
"While the challenges posed by the difficulties were significant, they prompted the replacement of problematic components, resulting in the resolution of issues. Importantly, there were no substantial ongoing concerns. Regarding the overall performance, it has been consistently excellent."
"I am impressed with the tool's technical alliance with Veeam and Veritas."

Cons

"The integration with the record database and integration with other applications will be good, especially with the database piece."
"The interface needs improvement and it doesn't offer as many features as other third-party backup solutions."
"It would be helpful if it included the ability to perform Office 365 backups so that we didn't have to use additional software."
"We faced some issues synchronizing the information in Azure when the storage was changed."
"Areas of Azure Backup that have room for improvement include the VM backup, which creates multiple snapshots. When I select a snapshot every two days, it creates numerous snapshots, but during restoration, it provides only very few of them for the full restore."
"The only thing I would say that could be improved is the reporting. It can be a little more customized or something like that."
"Microsoft's technical support for Azure products could be improved."
"The reporting functionality of Azure Backup needs improvement."
"The product needs to improve performance while scaling out. It also needs to improve stability."
"Perhaps the most notable area for enhancement lies in the web interface for management. The current limitations in LDAP editing capabilities are not addressed in the UI, and I haven't observed any recent updates. It's possible that the new version of the DXI service incorporates improvements in the GUI, but I cannot confirm. While there is room for improvement in the current GUI, it remains a relatively minor issue. Overall, the system is comprehensive, covering aspects such as reports on latency and networking, leaving little room for additional enhancements in those areas."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Customers prefer Azure Backup because it has a pay-as-you-go model, and they won't have to pay an upfront amount at the initial level."
"There is a cost per terabyte for using this solution."
"Comparing the pricing with other technologies, Azure Backup is more affordable for customers. It follows a pay-as-you-go model, where we pay according to our consumption."
"It's around $10 to $15 per month per virtual machine, along with something extra based on the size of the data."
"We do not have any additional costs for Azure Backup."
"The pricing of this solution is good, and it is one of the easiest things that you can sell Azure with."
"Azure Backup is a product that is priced at a cheap rate, and it is a great tool."
"The pricing of this solution is ok, but I'm expecting that the price will decrease in the future."
"I do not oversee this aspect, as pricing is contingent on factors such as volume, technical specifications, and the desired features. Consequently, I lack information on the pricing details and structure."
