Tells us about vulnerabilities as well as their impact and helps to focus on real issues
Looking at all the different pieces, it has got everything we need. Some of the pieces we do not even use. For example, we do not have Kubernetes Security. We are not running any K8 clusters, so it is good for us. Overall, we find the solution to be fantastic. There can be additional education components. This may not be truly fair to them because of what the product is going for, but it would be great to see additional education for compliance. It is not a criticism of the tool per se, but anything to help non-development resources understand some of the complexities of the cloud is always appreciated. Any additional educational resources are always helpful for security teams, especially those without a development background.

Comprehensive threat detection simplifies security management
GuardDuty is limited to AWS environments. While incorporating Amazon Detective for detailed investigation can be useful, including more granular details in findings, such as specific user actions or historical comparisons, would be beneficial. Furthermore, managing global AWS environments requires setting up additional tools for viewing GuardDuty findings across multiple regions. A unified dashboard that aggregates findings across all regions without requiring manual aggregation could enhance convenience for users.

We can quickly deploy cloud conformity, provides good visibility, and control
I am satisfied with the protection that Trend Vision One - Cloud Security provides for our multi-cloud environment. I need a single pane of glass that will give me the information I need quickly and easily. I set up Trend Vision One - Cloud Security in one afternoon, which I have done before. With one person, it only takes a day or so. Now, it is so simple to get it into any cloud and give it a small permission set to go in there and read our infrastructure, and then get some valuable insights very quickly. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security provides us with contextual data, which is especially useful when we are acquiring a company or when I take on a new role and need to quickly understand what they have. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security also helps me to quickly correlate information in the DevSec process, as it protects everything. There are three times when a security vulnerability can be caught: when we write the code, when we deploy the code, or when the code is running. If a vulnerability is not caught until the code is running, we probably made a mistake. We can then go back and look at the first two steps to see where we should have caught the issue. I am 100 percent satisfied with the context provided by Trend Vision One - Cloud Security. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security protects my cloud workloads. If an attack gets past the first two layers, I still need a way to protect the endpoints, whether they're EC2 instances, virtual machines in Azure, or even on-premises servers. I need a single pane of glass to see all of my endpoints. And let's say there's a zero-day attack, something that no one knew about and couldn't have caught. With Workload Security, I don't need to patch it immediately, even if it's a Windows update. Workload Security can patch it for me and put security tools around it. So we use it for patching and filtering, as well as other security needs. It sits on our virtual machines and whatever cloud we use. The biggest benefit of Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is its single pane of glass view. Other cloud providers, such as AWS and Azure, offer similar features, but they require multiple dashboards and reports. With Trend Vision One - Cloud Security, I have a single pane of glass view of my entire infrastructure. We also use Trend Vision One - Cloud Security for many security needs, including endpoint protection and Office 365 protection. This gives me a single vendor, a single pane of glass, and a single console to manage the security of all of my platforms. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security gives us full visibility and control of our cloud environments. When I am asked difficult questions, or when I am going through an audit or other process, I use its reporting and dashboarding capabilities to get all the information I need in one place. This saves me from having to correlate data from different sources, and it helps me to resolve audit and compliance workflows more quickly. Visibility helps us resolve complexity in our environment by providing quick snapshots of an account. This is especially useful when I'm trying to get an overview of a new workload or a new company, as it allows us to take a snapshot of the environment to make it easier to ingest. We buy our subscriptions through the marketplace because it's easier. I don't want to buy credits, because I can use the marketplace as needed. It also allows us to quickly bill the subscriptions to our existing account, so I don't have to set up another vendor or billing terms. I can just quickly use the marketplace, choose the subscriptions I want, and pay as I go. It's perfect. Conformity would give me a good overview of what infrastructure we are using and where we can potentially save costs by emphasizing the infrastructure that we do not necessarily need. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security protects me in the cloud, protects my registry, and protects my DevOps pipeline. It is not necessary for Trend Vision One - Cloud Security to protect all of these things. Additionally, Trend Vision in general also protects our Office 365 infrastructure, including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook. Protecting all the data across our environment is extremely important these days. No matter what industry we're in, it's crucial to understand our data security protocols, where our data is stored, how it's protected, and how it's accessed. This information gives us a single, overarching view of our data security posture, which helps us to identify and remediate misconfigurations and quickly respond to zero-day attacks or compromises. The sooner we know about a security incident, the fewer repercussions we're likely to experience.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The UI is responsive and user-friendly."
"It integrates very well. We sell different products from different vendors. We know that the SentinelOne Singularity platform can be integrated with several different solutions from different vendors."
"Atlas security graph is pretty cool. It maps out relationships between components on AWS, like load balancers and servers. This helps visualize potential attack paths and even suggests attack paths a malicious actor might take."
"The user-friendliness is the most valuable feature."
"It is scalable, stable, and can detect any threat on a machine. It uses artificial intelligence and can lock down any virus."
"The mean time to detect has been reduced."
"We noted immediate benefits from using the solution."
"The Offensive Security Engine, powered by impressive AI/ML capabilities, seamlessly integrates with cloud infrastructure to analyze data and provide optimal security solutions."
"One of the advantages of cloud services is the ability to use them on demand. There's minimal installation involved; you can check the latest offerings and make new deployments while dismantling the previous ones. This approach keeps you ahead of potential services, showcasing the agility of AWS."
"What we found most valuable in Amazon GuardDuty is its threat detection feature, especially because we were monitoring a huge number of AWS accounts, so we needed a solution that would monitor for any kind of malicious activity. The monitoring aspect of the solution was great because it gave us timely notifications if and when anything happened, and Amazon GuardDuty helped keep us on our toes to make sure we took action right away."
"The solution provides AWS GuardDuty S3 protection, EKS runtime protection, and malware protection."
"We use the tool for threat detection. AWS includes AI features as well. AWS GuardDuty gives us reports."
"GuardDuty's comprehensive threat detection does not only monitor data - it also detects a wide range of security threats."
"The way it monitors accounts is definitely a very important feature."
"The product has automated protection powered by AI/ML, which is now far more powerful than before. It uses AI/ML in its detection algorithm, providing fast and quick results."
"Since our environment is cloud based and accessible from the internet, we like the ability to check where the user has logged in from and what kind of API calls that user is doing."
"I really like Trend Vision One - Cloud Security's dashboard."
"I like the conformity and workload security modules. Workload security is all about intrusion detection and prevention. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has behavioral rules that are auto-populated based on organizational structure. That's one aspect that we liked most."
"The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities."
"The stability is quite good."
"We use the solution to protect our cloud-based applications like Office 365."
"I use the tool for security solutions. It's a leader in Gartner and Forrester Wave reports. Customers rely on these reports."
"The most valuable part of Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is its dashboard, as it's simple. It's easy to manage, and you can better control the solution."
"The perfect package for all security platforms, providing more than any other endpoint solution."

Cons

"From my personal experience, the alerting system needs to be faster. If something happens in our infrastructure, the alert appears on the dashboard, but I have to log in to the dashboard and refresh it."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security takes four to five hours to detect and highlight an issue, and that time should be reduced."
"While it is good, I think the solution's console could be improved."
"The areas with room for improvement include the cost, which is higher compared to other security platforms. The dashboard can also be laggy."
"We wanted it to provide us with something like Claroty Hub in AWS for lateral movement. For example, if an EC2 instance or a virtual machine is compromised in a public subnet based on a particular vulnerability, such as Log4j, we want it to not be able to reach some of our databases. This kind of feature is not supported in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security."
"Crafting customized policies can be tricky."
"There's room for improvement in the graphic explorer."
"The dashboard can be more detailed."
"I work in a bank, and it would be good if AWS GuardDuty could be integrated with other monitoring and detection tools we use."
"While sending the alerts to the email, they are not being patched. we have to do the patching and mapping manually. If GuardDuty could include a feature to do this automatically, it will make our job easier. That is something I believe can be improved."
"Because it's a threat detection service, they need to keep up with the various threat factors because new threat factors and attack factors come up all the time."
"An improvement would be to have a mobile version where remote workers can log in and monitor and fix issues."
"For the next release, they could provide IPS features as well."
"There is currently no consolidated dashboard for AWS GuardDuty. It would be helpful if they could provide a dashboard based on severity levels (high, medium, low) and offer insights account-wise, especially for users utilizing automation structures."
"AWS GuardDuty needs to be more customer-oriented."
"AWS GuardDuty sometimes shows false positives and should have better detection accuracy."
"The dashboard should be a bit more intuitive."
"Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security."
"The solution should include more integrations and a universal connector with other firewalls for SNMP protocols."
"I'd like to see mobile licenses included in the main license, similar to Kaspersky's model for future features."
"The product could use a little bit of automation."
"While it provides some data protection within its security framework, it doesn't allow users to customize policies or create their own for specific needs."
"The workbook insights generate a massive list, making it inconvenient to review."
"Currently, we must procure and configure the server hardware independently, as we obtain the software separately from Trend Micro."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"SentinelOne provided competitive pricing compared to other vendors, and we are satisfied with the deal."
"I am personally not taking care of the pricing part, but when we moved from CrowdStrike to PingSafe, there were some savings. The price of CrowdStrike was quite high. Compared to that, the price of PingSafe was low. PingSafe is charging based on the subscription model. If I want to add an AWS subscription, I need to pay more. It should not be based on subscription. It should be based on the number of servers that I am scanning."
"Pricing is based on modules, which was ideal for us."
"Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
"For pricing, it currently seems to be in line with market rates."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"PingSafe's pricing is good because it provides us with a solution."
"We found it to be fine for us. Its price was competitive. It was something we were happy with. We are not a Fortune 500 company, so I do not know how pricing scales at the top end, but for our cloud environment, it works very well."
"The tool has no subscription charges."
"In terms of the costs associated with Amazon GuardDuty, it was $1 per GB from what I recall. Pricing was based on per gigabyte. For example, for the first five hundred gigabytes per month, it'll be $1 per GB, so it'll be $500. If your usage was greater, there's another bracket, for example, the next two thousand GB, then there's an add-on cost of 50 cents per GB. That's how Amazon GuardDuty pricing slowly goes up. I can't remember if there was any kind of additional cost apart from standard licensing for the solution. Nothing else that at least comes to mind. What the service was charging was worth it. That was one good thing when using Amazon GuardDuty because my company could be in a certain tier for a certain period. My company wasn't under a licensing model where it could overestimate its usage and under-utilize its usage and pay much more. This was what made the pricing model for Amazon GuardDuty better."
"It can get very expensive. If you turn on every feature, it can turn into hundreds of thousands of dollars."
"The tool's licensing model is pay-as-you-go."
"The platform is inexpensive."
"We use a pay-as-you-use license, which is competitively priced in the market."
"I don't have all the details in terms of licensing for Amazon GuardDuty, but my organization does have a license set up for it."
"GuardDuty only enables accounts in regions where you have an active workload. If there are places where you don't have an active workload, you wouldn't even enable them. That's one area where they could allow you to cut down your cost."
"The is price is 25% cheaper than it was a couple of years ago, which is good."
"The Trend Vision One pricing is reasonable."
"The price could be lower. That is a bit of a consideration."
"Two years ago, it cost $200 for 20 credits, which was a high cost."
"I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."
"One year ago, Trend transitioned to a credit system for licensing, which has confused users."
"Pricing for Trend Micro Cloud One Container Security in the corporate market is okay."
"The pricing for Cloud One is reasonable because my costs scale up and down based on my infrastructure usage."
