Network automation has reduced troubleshooting time and supports faster issue resolution
The biggest and best feature I have experienced with Auvik Network Management (ANM) is automatic network discovery, along with features such as topology map, instant alerts, real-time monitoring, easy remote access, and simple dashboards. Among those features, I find automatic network discovery to be the most useful because it gives a clear picture of the entire network without having to create manual diagrams. It is very easy to use Auvik Network Management (ANM), so even a new team member can quickly understand the network because everything is displayed in a very clear way. Auvik Network Management (ANM) has positively impacted our organization by reducing troubleshooting time, improving network visibility, providing a very clear picture, and helping us support multiple client networks and environments very efficiently. We have noticed a 35 to 40% improvement in troubleshooting speed, less manual work in documenting any network system, faster responses to network issues, and better uptime with the client networks.

Clients experience effective network management and comprehensive monitoring
Arista currently provides their solution for their own Arista products only. A problem occurs because customers do not have only Arista products. Sometimes they have different kinds of products available in their network. For monitoring that network, they have to either procure more solutions from third parties or they have to procure the provider OEM to manage their switches. If Arista can integrate third-party switches for monitoring purposes, it will be beneficial for the customers. Arista and other competitors such as Cisco or HPE Aruba have their own benefits. Cisco and Aruba face the challenge of having multiple OS for networking their products, whereas Arista has a single OS across their products. This is very beneficial for customers as they only have to manage a single OS.

Pros

"With Auvik, we just grab and restore the config file, there are fewer steps for us to do as an organization, it has recaptured some time that we can give back to other tasks, and our MTTR has been reduced by at least 50 percent because, as a switch goes down, we get the alert without having our client call us."
"The automated, out-of-the-box device configuration backup capability is one of the key features for me in Auvik. To manage a network, one of my key requirements is to be able to rebuild that network if something catastrophic happens. Having up-to-date backups is a must, and this is a tool that I count on to get that right, and it has always performed as I expect."
"Auvik Network Management (ANM) does help me decrease my mean time to resolution in significant ways."
"Auvik Network Management (ANM) provides complete global visibility and has a centralized dashboard—working in India, I can monitor the entire North American network and take charge if anything goes wrong."
"Auvik has decreased our mean time to resolution by 50%."
"There are many things I like about the product. It's cloud-based and automatically refreshes the network container. We like the automatic backups and the comparison between backups. It's straightforward to set up, and it integrates with many protocols."
"Auvik is phenomenal for network monitoring as well as for other functionalities such as remote access or backups."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to see usage alerts on all of our devices."
"A single point of management and monitoring, as well as upgradation and update is valuable."
"The product provides a central management feature. It helps in eliminating human errors. It doesn't have a lot of bugs for software."

Cons

"I take off that one point for Auvik Network Management (ANM) due to the initial setup."
"It requires a lot of hands-on maintenance when it comes to cleanup. That's probably the biggest problem I've had, because I don't have a dedicated resource to manually clean up stale records. I have a customer where it shows 4,000 devices because of the duplication of devices that I have to clean up."
"The network mapping is just okay when I consider what I would typically see in a network map... that whole overview map in a single pane of glass can be pretty messy and a little bit of a performance hog on computers. The network mapping needs improvement in Auvik, as a whole."
"The logging features could be a little bit better polished, although that aspect is relatively new. It comes in as raw data, with different formats for different vendors. It's not immediately clear to people what's going on with some of that and you have to read through the codes. Some of the higher-end logging solutions, like Splunk, which is very expensive, can parse through it and correlate items better. Improvement to the logging features would be a value-add, but I'm still very happy that it exists."
"The quality of technical support varies greatly."
"Auvik Network Management (ANM) can be improved with better reporting options."
"Its monitoring is great, but the integrations could be better."
"The only area for improvement is pricing."
"Arista currently provides their solution for their own Arista products only. A problem occurs because customers do not have only Arista products."
"CloudVision could have a user-friendly interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't have any insight into the cost, as another department handles that."
"Auvik's pricing falls within an acceptable range for us."
"For small businesses with many devices, the tool is potentially unaffordable. Auvik Networks Inc. is competing with other companies offering very expensive products. Still, there's a gap in the market and potentially a lot of lost revenue for smaller customers, especially those with complex IT environments."
"I don't think Auvik's pricing should be based on device, which it is right now. I don't know what their market share is or how they compete with Domotz, but if they want to stay competitive, Auvik should have simpler pricing."
"The pricing for Auvik Network Management (ANM) is great; it is comparable to other solutions, and for what it does, it actually provides more value for the money than some of the other major competitors."
"Auvik is not cheap. They've done a great job, it's a developed product, but you pay for it. When you compare, it's definitely in the upper-tier of pricing."
"I believe that Auvik is one of the most expensive tools, but it is also the best."
"The price is a little high, and the product could be more cost-friendly. We work with many small and medium-sized businesses, so the cost can be hard to justify. We try to work around that, but it would be nice if Auvik were more cost-effective. Most enterprise-level businesses we work with have their own internal monitoring solutions, whether Nagios or SolarWinds."
"CloudVision is an expensive product. We purchase its yearly license."
