The best features of Aruba Switches are their stability and reliability. Hardware failures are rare because the switches have been running for years, and it is uncommon to encounter hardware issues or impacting bugs. From an operational perspective, Aruba Switches are stable and easy to configure through centralized management solutions. Initially managed through AirWave and now through Central, the configuration can be managed easily with audit records and visibility to switch health and other parameters. Another advantage is that Aruba Switches work seamlessly with ClearPass as a NAC server. This integration allows for dynamic policies, dynamic downloadable user roles, and enables seamless segmentation of users for network security. The real-time analytics provided by Aruba Switches for network efficiency are valuable when needed. All information visible in the analytics dashboard is truly helpful. With Aruba Central's migration to AI capability, additional value is being provided, offering more information and making troubleshooting easier with user-friendly features where you can search for anything and receive relevant results.

Greatly simplifies troubleshooting; remote access to the router is a huge time saver
The solution has a problem with documentation. Luxul doesn't want to give the documentation to any Joe Bloggs, but even as a dealer going to the Luxul portal, there are no documents. I can always call technical support and ask them if I forget something and I'll get the support, but I shouldn't need to do that. Anything can be improved and unfortunately a good switch is not cheap but there's no choice if you need a special router.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Aruba care support and the lifetime warranty are very valuable aspects."
"Aruba switches are high-quality products, they're well made and never go wrong, working 100 percent, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, nonstop, with no failures at all — not even a broken fan."
"We use this solution for small and middle sized offices across different locations, and the switches connect to the remote sites for distribution to the end user."
"Aruba Central is valuable."
"The advantage of Aruba compared to other switches is their reliability."
"Scalable and reliable solution for your network connectivity needs, with a straightforward setup."
"I like the Aruba Central platform. It makes a lot of sense. The switches have a lot of great capabilities. Central can lockdown VLANs and control the apps and protocols. There are several built-in security features that I'm not utilizing. However, those capabilities are part of the reason I'm using enterprise switches in a small office. I like knowing that I can do these things when necessary."
"This product is very stable and very reliable."
"The ePoE+ is great."
"The solution is excellent for audio-video and multi-casting."
"The solution is less expensive than other options."
"Remote access to the router is a huge time saver."
"All of my customers, including residential and commercial clients, are extremely happy with these switches."
"It's a rock-solid connectivity and a rock-solid Wi-Fi coverage, which is what my customers love."

Cons

"Regarding integration capabilities, there are some limitations with Aruba Switches that make them a little difficult sometimes, as they are very particular about the kind of SFP+ adapters and cables you can use."
"Not a ten out of ten because there were some major issues like configuration conflicts and by the time we got to solve them, it was a bit of a nightmare until we got it up and running."
"There is an issue with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), but it is escaping me."
"This product could be improved with additional security features."
"We had an issue with the hardware where one or two interfaces went down after one and a half years."
"We have had problems with the cooling fans on these switches."
"The power supplies are generally susceptible to power fluctuations and failure due to these fluctuations."
"The element of security always can be improved."
"You do need to be an IT person in order to handle the initial setup. An AV person would struggle a bit."
"While the solution is good for the light commercial market or for the residential market, it's not ideal for the commercial market, for example, a big enterprise or data center."
"The solution has a problem with documentation. Luxul doesn't want to give the documentation to any Joe Bloggs, but even as a dealer going to the Luxul portal, there are no documents."
"The documentation could be improved; it's quite basic."
"The documentation could be improved; it's quite basic."
"Documentation and access to it could be greatly improved."
