Security monitoring has uncovered unauthorized devices and now protects client networks
I think the best feature of Armis Centrix for OT/IoT Security is that it ensures only the authorized devices and users are authorized to prevent any potential breaches. I think that clear definition is very essential for a lot of networks because it helps us understand who should be there and who shouldn't be. For our clientele, we were able to discover a lot of unauthorized devices that were on their network. This first of all helped them remove a lot of potential security breaches and cleared the bandwidth of the network as well. I think this has been one of the biggest cases that we have found. For most of the clients where we have deployed it, this has always been a common occurrence because a lot of people enter the network and then you don't know who is there, who has the access, and so on. I think this is the very reason I said what I said earlier.

Centralized firewall management has saved time and improved network security across locations
Barracuda CloudGen Firewall could be improved as it has a very high learning curve. It is definitely not a one and done firewall, as a one and done firewall requires a lot of dedicated time to get the machine running the way you want. To improve Barracuda CloudGen Firewall, there should be a lot of tutorials and videos online to help new users. Multiple ways to configure for the same service or feature takes time to determine your customized build. In addition to previous points, the interface can sometimes be clunky when trying to determine how it is organized or arranged.

Pros

"I think the best feature of Armis Centrix for OT/IoT Security is that it ensures only the authorized devices and users are authorized to prevent any potential breaches."
"The most valuable features of Barracuda CloudGen Firewall include antivirus protection, anti-DDoS, and IPS."
"We evaluated a lot of different options, and we concluded that Barracuda NG Firewall provided the most features for an exemplary price."
"Since implementing the Barracuda CloudGen Firewall, we've seen significant benefits, particularly in stopping a lot of unnecessary or dangerous emails. One key feature we value is the ability to train the solution with emails categorized as threats, giving it a learning capacity."
"Single sign-on is also good. If you are accessing your corporate firewall from your home, during that time there is integration with AD. You can use your AD password to access your SSL VPN. It's not like if you buy an additional SSL VPN... You can directly integrate with your AD. If you change your password on the AD side, your client-to-VPN password also gets changed. You can integrate all your passwords from a single console. It's not like admin has to change your password, it's a single sign-on."
"Barracuda is very prompt at blocking any new spam which comes out."
"The technical support from Barracuda is very good. I would rate it nine out of ten."
"Add-on features such as Virus Scanning, ATP, and web filtering add another level of protection and block malware before it gets to the end user."
"Live monitoring of what is happening inside and on the interfaces, either ingress or egress."

Cons

"I'm not exactly sure how scalable it is if you're managing multiple locations, but I think it still has some potential for improvement for multiple locations."
"Barracuda CloudGen Firewall could be improved as it has a very high learning curve."
"There is room for improvement in terms of response time and first-level support quality."
"The technical manuals, at times, have images that don't match the actual screens and are not always as clear as they could be on the configuration."
"The administration UI could be better. It should also have better application detection policies."
"We would like to see a solution that is focused on container deployment, which is very important right now."
"It would be better if they had a trace and trap feature. It's hard for me to say anything bad about Barracuda. This is because we had a firewall go down in the town of Kirkland Lake, and it was a blown-out port, and they had an instant replacement."
"The initial setup is a bit complex."
"It's a little bit complex in terms of handling. If you implement a change, there is a specific point where you have to commit it. It's not like you just push a button and it's always committed. If you don't know to check whether your commit command has been executed or not... that is something Barracuda needs to work on."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The solution's price is reasonable."
"Its licensing is on a yearly basis. There is an upfront purchase price, and there is also an annual maintenance fee. There are no additional fees."
"My advice is to try and evaluate it (Barracuda offers a trial period of one month)."
"We evaluated a lot of different options. We concluded that Barracuda NG Firewall provided the most features for an exemplary price. "
"It is a product with a very transparent model of licensing. In the sense of hidden expenses, they do not exist with this model. "
"Pricing and licensing are fine. It's worth the value because every four years, if I buy any other product, I have to replace my hardware. But with Barracuda I get a free hardware upgrade. Today I'm using Xbox. After four years I can take another Xbox or a Ybox."
"The solution costs more than 800 Euros to purchase an F18, which is an entry model, and then another 500 Euros for instant replacement, and 500 Euros for energized updates. The total package would be around 1,900 Euros for five years license and all updates for an entry model."
"It's not the most expensive, but it's certainly not cheap."
