Endpoint monitoring has become faster and has reduced alert response time for our clients
The best features that Alert Logic MDR offers include AI and behavior analysis, which I find most valuable. AI and behavior analysis mean that within AI there is static AI analysis and behavior analysis with subtypes. For example, if there is any file or a certain subtype, or if ransomware is happening, or any tool or app is being used, there are subtypes of AI. I appreciate that Alert Logic MDR has a separate AI for each type. Alert Logic MDR has positively impacted our organization by minimizing the alert SLA timing. When we used our other endpoint detection and response solution, we required at least fifteen minutes to raise one alert. After using Alert Logic MDR, we integrated it with SOAR technology, so within five minutes, the alert is raised to the client. Efficiency-wise, reducing the alert SLA timing to five minutes has been very beneficial. Whenever we receive an alert from endpoint detection and response from an endpoint to the Alert Logic MDR console, the system directly has the protect mode, conducting the kill and quarantine process itself. We only have to perform static analysis, and we have the playbooks, so they conduct some static analysis from there and directly raise the alert to the respective team.

We now benefit from regular account reviews and proactive event monitoring
It could improve the customer portal and possibly reduce prices slightly. It's very good because it includes user behavior analytics, detection rules, and thorough log investigation. They also have robust threat-hunting capabilities in the backend, which is crucial for me as a one-man band in the IT department. The managed service wraparound is essential, especially with pre-authorization for incident response

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Alert Logic MDR has positively impacted our organization by minimizing the alert SLA timing."
"Automated information on zero-day threats is provided without us needing to ask."
"While I still have on-premises appliances, I can remotely monitor everything from the cloud, and Alert Logic's ease-of-access features have helped me streamline my workflow and reduce implementation time."
"The installation and configuration were slick."
"The most valuable aspect of Alert Logic is its technology platform. They have SOCs in the US and Europe, giving them global visibility of the threat landscape. They detect and respond to threats in minutes. Their biggest value is human expertise. You're being attacked by a human, and you cannot respond to it unless you have a human on the other side. They have the human and technological resources to respond."
"The quicker implementation of changes to our infrastructure from Alert Logic tell us if there are any problems."
"The value of Alert Logic is that everything is in one dashboard; I'm notified when there's an incident, kept up to date and advised on what steps to take."
"It implemented pretty quickly; we have everything you need, and while it would typically take a lot of other solutions weeks to set up, this set up within fifteen minutes, which is pretty slick, and it has a lot of different interfaces."
"Our security posture has improved. We previously lacked intrusion detection and response capabilities, but now we benefit from regular account reviews and proactive event monitoring. Their portal provides a straightforward way to report suspicious activity, keeping us well-informed about potential threats."

Cons

"It would be great to see more of an endpoint protector."
"I would like more data on the alert payload. It would be good to have the ability to customize the alert payload to add whatever data that we want on there. Right now, it is a bit limited."
"We'd like to have triggered alerts sent to us so we see errors quicker."
"One major missing feature was the ability to see if vulnerabilities were exploitable, which required extra effort for us."
"I would like to see it do initial scans and start capturing data, which it will truly analyze, not just be a reporting system saying, "Here is an email. Here is an email. Here is an email.""
"For every new client or every new case, my company has to spin up a new instance, because of which there is a new URL."
"One pain point we have, for example, is if the search keyword is related inside an XML, we will get an XML; if it is a normal log, however, you will get a null pointer exception or something, and we don't get the complete trace."
"This product needs to mature more. While it is a good product, there are some areas where it needs work."
"It could improve the customer portal and possibly reduce prices slightly. It's very good because it includes user behavior analytics, detection rules, and thorough log investigation."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Price-wise, Cybereason Managed Detection & Response is effective for larger companies, but if you have a small company with less than 1,000 employees, then it gets expensive."
"Its pricing is very reasonable considering what you get for what you pay. There is quite a good value there. Its licensing is also very logical. They've got the licensing price points at a reasonable level. It is on a monthly license but a yearly contract. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
"Price of the solution was very reasonable considering the size of our organization at the time, and so it worked out perfectly."
"Our ROI would probably be zero. We don't even use it. It sits in there. We get emails and just delete them. Around the world, we don't even use it."
"Almost any product that is on the AWS Marketplace is super easy to subscribe to."
"Alert Logic has better competitive pricing than some of its competitors."
