Simplifies payroll processing and reduces the need for extensive marketing efforts while providing scalability, compliance, and excellent stability
I believe there is room for enhancement in the scope of services. We encountered challenges at times in clearly defining it, particularly because the firewall domain is extensive and demands localization for this service. Consequently, there is occasional confusion regarding whether a service falls under the standard category or is considered an add-on. I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension.

Efficient payroll processing with comprehensive attendance management
I am currently heading the payroll benefits and HRIS team here in Manila. We are using SAP HCM on-premises, and we implemented SuccessFactors focusing on Employee Central and GMPM SAP HCM has helped a lot due to the always changing government regulations pertaining to taxation, social security…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"They are very strong in terms of having a central regional system. A regional person can see and monitor the calendar for each different country."
"The advantage was that ADP Streamline was inherently designed to serve as a marketing engine for the company."
"The most valuable feature was that everything was in one system."
"I like the reporting feature as it allows me to generate reports independently without relying on a payroll consultant."
"Scalability is excellent, and I would rate it ten out of ten."
"The setup was straightforward."
"Payroll processing is my favorite HCM feature, and I like all the SuccessFactors talent modules also. SAP is making good progress on enhancements to the features in the SF modules."
"The tool's most valuable features for our HR operations include easy reporting capabilities, which allow us to generate reports for management meetings and auditing purposes. Additionally, it supports appointment preparation and processing benefits."
"Recently, the localization versions for different countries were increased, and that added value to the solution."
"It is a scalable solution. There are three administrators maintaining the solution: an HR person, a payroll person, and one backup."
"They provide the most stable and powerful technology in the areas of human resources, information systems, and ERP."
"The compliance management functionality is quite good."

Cons

"Having more clear guidance on design and training would be beneficial."
"The UI could be improved to be a bit more modern or trendy because it looks old-fashioned compared to other systems."
"They could improve the service relationship manager (SRM), because they have an SRM which is not familiar with Simple."
"I think there is a need for a deeper level of comprehension."
"SAP HCM has helped a lot due to the always changing government regulations pertaining to taxation, social security service, and local regulations that change frequently."
"The speed of technical support can be improved."
"What can be improved in SAP HCM depends on the industry it serves. The system's navigation could be simplified for users. The flow and integration between parts, like core HR, payroll, and recruiting, must be communicated properly. Users should focus on how doing things correctly from the start will improve things in the long run rather than feeling overwhelmed by tasks."
"It would be nice if the solution migrated to S/4HANA."
"SAP HCM needs to be more customizable to fit unique organizational processes."
"The product's learning and development features could be better, including new exclusive LMS tools."
"The extensibility of the integration could be improved."
"The talent modules are lacking in HCM, so I would recommend switching to SuccessFactors for talent management, but HCM excels at time management and payroll."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our company had a standardized pricing model based on the number of employees."
"The amount we pay is not low, and it is not high. It is average."
"Licensing is pretty complex. SAP does not have a straight forward way of licensing, and it differs from client to client."
"SAP is extremely expensive. The integration costs and customization costs are also a lot."
"For implementation, SAP offers little support unless you buy SAP Safeguarding from SAP Consulting."
"The cost of SAP HCM is high, the license should be reduced. SAP HCM has a lot of hidden costs."
"HCM is cheaper than SuccessFactors."
"We purchase the product's yearly license."
"The pricing depends upon the specific model and number of user accounts included in a bundle."
"In my view, this product is a waste of money for SMB because there are much better products available and licensing is an issue."
