What is our primary use case?
We are using
Azure Logic Apps in our integration, in addition to
Azure Container Registry.
What is most valuable?
The geo-replication features of
Azure Container Registry are powerful. They facilitate alias connectivity and architecture implementation with private endpoints. The integration with
Azure Kubernetes services also aids our projects, ensuring reliable deployments. The container management allows us to quickly deploy new containers based on changes in our code repository.
What needs improvement?
While downtime is uncommon, there are occasional server errors like '404 not found' and '504 server not found'. Viewing server logs is not a reliable approach, and improving log visibility would help in troubleshooting efficiently.
For how long have I used the solution?
We started using Azure Container Registry last year, making it nearly a year since we began using it.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment process is quite reliable. Deployments take no more than thirty minutes due to automated scripts and pipelines linked to our
GitHub repository.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Occasional short downtimes occur, but overall stability is strong. The solution generally runs without issues.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Azure Container Registry is very scalable, supporting multiple interfaces across departments, making it a ten out of ten in scalability.
How are customer service and support?
Microsoft support tends to vary, resolving some tickets well while others less effectively. Overall, I would rate customer service as eight out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, we used other cloud services. However, as our organization partners with Microsoft, we have transitioned to Microsoft products.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup involves linking the code base to the container, which pulls updates seamlessly through pipelines to the server for deployment.
What about the implementation team?
We have a dedicated
Azure team managing the backend, with two members responsible for deployment. The setup and regular maintenance are handled by this team.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have not considered alternatives to Azure Container Registry. If the need arises, we will explore other options.
What other advice do I have?
The product is good overall, and I would recommend Azure Container Registry for its reliability. I rate the solution nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Private Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Microsoft Azure
