Red Hat recently announced the general availability of the latest round of their open source web development tools, Red Hat Software Collections 2.
An addition in Red Hat Software Collections 2 is new support for multiple language versions. With significant differences between seemingly minor point releases of open source languages, developers can now select and standardize development on a specific language version that best meets their current needs. Red Hat Software Collections 2 also adds more than 10 new collections, including the aforementioned Python 3.4, PHP 5.6 and Passenger 4.0.
Do you think this new language support is a make it or break it deal for this new collection? Share your thoughts below.

Here is a comparison of the two hypervisors, RHEV (Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization) and VMware vSphere:
RHEV
Pros:
Open source
Highly scalable
Cost-effective
Cons:
Not as mature as VMware vSphere
Not as widely supported as VMware vSphere
VMware vSphere
Pros:
Mature and widely supported
Wide range of features
Easy to use and manage
Cons:
Not open source
Can be expensive
Some prefer RHEV because it is open-source and cost-effective. However, VMware vSphere may be the better option if you need a hypervisor with a wide range of features and support.
As to which solution consumes fewer resources, RHEV is a lighter-weight hypervisor than VMware vSphere, so it consumes fewer resources. However, you must remember that each hypervisor's resource consumption depends on the configuration and workload.
