CityLab Professional is a unique, hands-on program designed to help scale employment-focused social enterprises.

Through this program, we invest in social entrepreneurs by providing the tools and resources members need to successfully run and grow a purpose-driven business.

At CityLab Professional (citylab.pro), members become part of a cohort of like-minded peers who support and develop each other through the program and beyond.

Our curriculum is delivered in partnership with the Points of Light Civic Accelerator and functions like a “mini MBA” designed specifically for leaders of employment social enterprises.

We cover traditional business topics including strategic planning, financial planning, and marketing while always keeping the mission of employing those with barriers at the core of all programming.

Johnny was one of the closing speakers at the 2017 and 2018 Bay Area Maker Faire (Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and curiosity showcasing the very best of the global Maker Movement.

His online and public speaking subjects include LEAN proactive planning in the process of building strong, adaptive communities. Strategies driven by local assets and realities, a diverse industry base, a commitment to equality of opportunity and sustainable practices can ensure a strong foundation for long-term stability and growth for communities of every size.
