I am a software architect with 18 years experience in web development using the Microsoft stack. My developer experience is half self-employed, and half in corporate environments, and as such I have a broad understanding of the product lifecycle, everything from meeting directly with clients to full implementation.
I have extensive expertise in enterprise applications architecture and distributed systems, with a focus on cloud-based DevOps and continuous integration. I have a real drive for refactoring and strongly believe in “maintaining the upgrade chain,” by innovating rather than letting a product stagnate in maintenance-only mode—with a strong eye for detail and elegant solutions, and enthusiasm for clean code, design patterns, database optimization, coding standards and best practices.
