An evangelist for the adoption of Social Business, I run a consultancy practice to help organisations establish a 'Collaborative Working Environment' within their organisation.
In 2010, (working with Stephen Langton and James Anderson) we developed SocialStudent. Based on IBM Connections (available on premise, hosted or in the IBM Smartcloud), SocialStudent is the premier Social business Solution for Education. We have developed an innovative adoption, training and mentorship program which ensures an organisation gains maximum return from their investment.
In July 2011, I was announced as one of the first 50 Global IBM Collaboration Champion's: www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/champions/ - re-elected in Dec12 / Dec13/ Dec14.
I have presented at a international events - Impact 2008/09/10, Lotusphere 2012, Connect13, Social Connections. I am a organiser of Social Connections (the global IBM Connections User group) and in 2013 was chair of the IBM Collaboration UK customer council.
Prior to this I worked at Cardiff University where I led a digital transformation project and developed partnerships with key vendors to ensure that a multi-million pound initiative was delivered on time and to budget.
Prior to joining Cardiff, I was Global IT Services Director for a Global manufacturing organistaion (Chicago based) and managed the IT infrastructure across USA and Europe (3 data centers delivering SAP/R3, ASI, Oracle based ERP and Exchange based e-mail) and the implementation of a group ERP system / ITIL best practice.
I also spent over 10 years in IT management roles at Sony responsible for the design, development and support of a bespoke MRP system and project managing the implementation of Oracle Financial and Manufacturing.
