With 5G IoT, you can have faster and more reliable connections, increased capacity, and efficiency. Also, new use-cases (e.g. VR related) that require greater speed/capacity.

Like every new technology, there may be drawbacks that tend to smoothen up with time: Interoperability issues, cost, and possible security problems as more and more devices are added.
