The V5200 model, released in 2021, is an outstanding system.
In just 1U rack space you get amazing performance at a very competitive price. The NVMe disk equipped with FCM (flash core module) technology provides automated compression with no impact in performance. It is very easy to install and use.

The performance of IBM FlashSystem is very good. The new technology and high throughput have given us more confidence in the solution. The management of the system has improved and we can control the monitoring system alerts and multiple FlashSystems with the Enterprise Cloud Edition, which is free. The migration of recently stored data to a new flash is much easier. You can move your data because you can utilize it externally.

The feature I find most valuable, is the deduplication, because the nature of the data that we are using in our current environment, has a lot of replicated data.

They have a virtualization feature and, even if you do not want to buy that feature, you can have it as a trial for two to three months. If you have another brand of storage from another company, you can use this tool to transfer all your data from the old system to the new Storwize system, which really shortens the migration time.
Hi,I work at a Financial Services company with 10,000+ employees. Currently, I'm researching NAS products. Which of the following products would you choose and why: IBM FlashSystem (FS9500) vs PureFlash Array/X NVMe vs PureFlash Array/XL NVMe?Thanks in advance for your help!
One of our members (Principal IT Architect) at a company with 1,000+ employees in the health care industry asked the following question:
Are there any other industry solutions that are comparable to the IBM FlashSystem (i.e. FS900 AEF3 in a medium or large config) with regard to performance?
Hello Nick, I own an IBM Storwize v7000. I am very satisfied with the speed. For me there are 600 users on 10 VMs.
There are two comparable systems that I would use myself:
a) VSan VMWare, but the solution is too expensive for me,
b) Freenas - is cheap and in terms of performance, the bang.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

I would recommend to run test on the current environment to see how much recourses he really needs?
Maybe they can take a solution with auto tiering and not all flash array…
But as AFA I will, I can recommend a DELL-EMC AFA.
