I have seen measurable business and security outcomes since implementation of Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF). All vendors design firewalls with application filtering. As per current incident reporting, we implement and update our feature updates and security databases. These databases are updated regularly. Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) works fine for every product like Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. I am currently not using Check Point WAF as a primary solution, just for a specific purpose. Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) is working fine and reports, detects, and stops attacks such as IPS and detection. I would rate Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) a nine out of ten. The existing features are working fine, but new day-to-day attacks and issues arise in the environment globally, dealing with attacks such as phishing and DDoS attacks daily. Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) could improve by addressing the new day-to-day attacks and issues that arise in the environment and globally dealing with attacks. The main reason why I chose Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) is about the cost, and we have a Check Point firewall and we also use endpoint security and email security, so we wanted to choose this as a one-stop solution. I do not have an idea regarding Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF)'s ability for preemptively blocking zero-day attacks and detecting hidden anomalies, as it has been only three months, so we are yet to explore things in Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF). Currently, we did not check the AI-driven threat detection and prevention capabilities in Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF). Are you referring to the Gen AI or the built-in part of the WAF? Regarding the built-in AI-driven threat detection and prevention capabilities, I do not see any false positive detection based on the AI part in Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF), so everything we are receiving is accurate results only. Based on that learning part, when Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) is in learning mode, the learning part is very helpful for us to filter those things, so after moving it to blocking, we are not receiving any false positive alerts or incidents. If I want to add an exception in Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF), I can either add it in the shared one or in a local one. I have given this review an overall rating of 7.5 out of 10.

The configuration is complex, so it is not as easy as with other products. However, I believe it is worth the investment because the security is excellent. For security, Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) is a leader without a doubt. Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) is a very good, highly secure enterprise-level product, but it does have limitations, including the price and the need for trained personnel. I also encounter many errors during HA mode configuration, which can be tricky. I have a hybrid model for deployment. I would rate this review an eight overall.

I would definitely recommend this solution because I do not want to implement one more traffic function. I can eliminate the firewall and use Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) alone, thus eliminating Layer 3 traffic directly connecting to my Web Application Firewall. I would say the TCO is reduced by 20 to 22 percent. The reduction in false positives will definitely be more than 30 percent. Breach Reduction reduces the false positive part significantly. For example, I have multiple solutions from multiple vendors, and it definitely reduces my false positive alerts and aids in my Breach Reduction efforts. If a person is having a bot attack or if someone attacks with network anomalies on my application, I can identify that. I rate Check Point WAF (formerly CloudGuard WAF) overall as an 8 or 8.5 out of 10.

I was working with Check Point CloudGuard WAF as a service provider, providing support to our clients from the Check Point CloudGuard WAF point. When I assess the efficiency improvements provided by Check Point CloudGuard WAF compared to traditional WAF, I find that in traditional WAFs, we had to purchase a physical device or license from companies such as F5 or Cloudflare, which were really good in the market. However, since it has moved to the cloud, it completely goes virtual, meaning you don't have to buy or manage your own physical devices, making implementation really easy and very efficient with just a one-time purchase of the license from Check Point CloudGuard WAF. Integration capability with existing systems was easy, as all vendors these days, such as Check Point, Fortinet, and Cisco, provide everything inbuilt. If you use the same vendor's firewall or EDR, it is easier to integrate their tool rather than purchasing from different vendors, which can become complex and challenging for engineers. When it is from the same vendor, managing different solutions is having only one platform to log in to. Check Point CloudGuard WAF absolutely helps reduce the false positive rate, which is really very good, as the false positive rate is very low. The approximate false positive rate is one percent. In assessing the solution for preemptively blocking zero-day attacks and detecting hidden anomalies, I find Check Point CloudGuard WAF amazing because it works on two engines: supervised and unsupervised. For zero-day attacks, it resolves issues immediately without waiting for another 24 hours or seven days. I would rate the pricing at seven points, indicating it is expensive. I would rate this review overall as an 8 out of 10.

I also use Orca and Palo Alto. With the four products — true positive, false positive, true negative, false negative — these are problems everywhere. That is the reason I recommend this tier-one firewall companies to the client. Out of ten, maybe one or two might be false positives.

Regarding the solution's ability for preemptive blocking of zero-day attacks and detecting hidden anomalies, zero-day protection with Check Point products is very less compared to all other vendors. For example, I am using Fortinet and F5 as well. Every forty-five days, I have to forcefully update my firmware and other aspects, while I have never seen much zero-day vulnerability on Check Point CloudGuard WAF. Yearly, I only do the patch management and firmware upgrade. Compared to other service and security providers, the zero-day vulnerability on Check Point is very less. I know this because I am using all the products and understand the challenges. Check Point CloudGuard WAF has very low zero-day vulnerability, which is evident in security reports. My overall rating for this solution is nine out of ten points.

The breach reduction capabilities of Check Point CloudGuard WAF are impressive, especially in how it proactively blocks zero-day threats and bot-driven attacks before they reach critical systems. For example, it stopped a credential stuffing attempt on my login portal using the reputation filter and input validation. I would rate this review a nine.

Regarding the reduction in incidents, I don't have any percentages, but I know I can save a lot of time because I understand that if something is signaled, I need to check it, as it's very not probable that it is a false threat. My advice for others looking into using Check Point CloudGuard WAF is that, similar to other Check Point services, it can be intimidating at the start, but you will manage after some time. I rate Check Point CloudGuard WAF eight out of ten.

I do not have experience with CyberArk, we only work with VSX and the family of VSX, which is provided by Check Point. I can recommend Check Point CloudGuard Code Security to other organizations as it is a good platform to protect our organization. On a scale of one to ten, I rate this solution an eight.

Check Point CloudGuard WAF effectively detects or blocks malicious SQL queries in real-time, protecting our web application from exploitation. To block SQL injection in Check Point CloudGuard WAF, I access the CloudGuard WAF console, log into the Check Point CloudGuard WAF management console using administrative credentials, then navigate to the security policies or application security section of the console, where the firewall rules of the protection are configured. In the web security policy setting, I verify that the SQL injection protection is enabled, which is typically a predefined feature within the WAF rule set activated to detect and block SQL injection attacks. Check Point CloudGuard WAF comes with predefined SQL injection attack signatures based on known patterns and payloads commonly used in SQL injection attacks, and I ensure the SQL injection signature set is enabled so that CloudGuard can detect and block common SQL injection techniques. I find no issues in software testing details with our predefined feature-rich template, providing automated security incident handling with real-time visibility and control across multi-cloud environments.

I recommend implementing it easily, onboarding services quickly, and utilizing its policy blocking. It is very useful and efficient. I rate Check Point CloudGuard WAF a ten out of ten. The AI/ML engine, which greatly reduces false positives so that we do not have to manage them manually, stands out the most.

To those evaluating CloudGuard Spectral, I would advise doing a PoC. It is easy to integrate. It takes a day to get it all set up and working. Do some testing on merging things that you know would be bad and watch what happens. The product sells itself. I would rate CloudGuard Spectral a ten out of ten.

Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

I'm a customer and end-user. With CloudGuard, you can easily secure the workloads and applications running in a hybrid environment or public cloud. It helps mitigate risk and protects against data leakage or breaches. It's a one-stop solution. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. I'd recommend the solution to others.

The solution helped free up staff to work on other projects. We've saved about 10% in overall time. I'd rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The tool is an excellent security solution that is an excellent complement to other security measures.
