To increase the rating for the product, Nagios should offer remote support and offer more customization in reporting while making it easy for the customers to use it. My advice would be to first go to the product, read about the features, the pricing, and how to deploy the Log Server in your environment, and then make the final decision. Overall, I would give Nagios Log Server a rating of eight on a scale from one to ten.

My company is a featured partner of Nagios XI. So I'm implementing Nagios XI in different companies and supporting the product. I'd recommend the solution. It offers a lot of benefits and has a good dashboard. It's pretty easy to get up and running, and the pricing is good. The only thing is it's hard to get support if you are outside the US. I'd rate the product eight out of ten.
My advice is that the customer first have a good idea of what he is looking for. It is at this point that I will enter the picture as a consultant and will advise if this is the appropriate Log Server solution. Since the information needed may only comprise a portion of the full functionality, it is a good idea to start with Nagios Z. Nagios Log Server can support everything. The person will have the option of reducing the size of his solution. Most of my customers will require a tailor made solution and will initially seek one which is offerred on the market, such as this Log Server or some type of SIEM. I will act as a consultant to tailor their log analyzing solution needs. I rate Nagios Log Server as an eight out of ten.
