What advice do you have for others considering Adobe ColdFusion?

I would suggest that you use the tool because it's a very good tool. If you are using Workfront, then it's very useful to use ColdFusion. Whatever tasks you are doing, especially repetitive work that you are doing daily, can be automated using the tool. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

I would rate the solution an eight-point five out of ten. I would recommend anyone looking to use the solution to make a complete analysis of their business requirements before using it.

I use the product’s latest version since I use it through a hosting provider and would like to rate ColdFusion solution a nine out of ten. It is because it integrates pretty well with web APIs, databases, NoSQL, RSS and XML services. RAD software or RAD development environments give you a lot of rope to hang yourself with. So you need to have the discipline to remain organized from day one. I would rate ColdFusion a nine out of ten.

I recommend trying it for a little bit. It is not for the classical Java/.NET developer though, since it is more like developing in PHP without all the syntax confusion and lack of consistency. However, the learning curve is smooth and fast that you will be hooked very quickly. The OO features are a must and the best you can get in any web server-based technology.
