My main use case for LayerX is that we are a part of IT compliance, and we check the logs, we check the user details, we check the LayerX endpoint, and how our users are interacting within the internet, how they are copying and pasting the data over the browsers, either in any third-party application, or an AI application such as ChatGPT or Gemini, while doing the audit to maintain the IT compliance of the company.

A quick specific example of how I use LayerX in my day-to-day work is that, given the era of AI with ChatGPT, Gemini, and many other tools, users often copy and paste the company's data into open AI software that is not beneficial for the company. Whenever any user or any of our employees copy and paste the company's data over the internet, whether in the browser or into OpenAI, we get a prompt and an alert that basically stops the user from pasting the data over the internet and secures our system.

LayerX helps to maintain the IT compliance of the company while also protecting the company's data going over the internet or into the wrong hands, preventing the sharing of data over the internet or any open AI-based application, any third-party software, or sharing the data outside of the company, thereby securing the environment.

The best features LayerX offers include the browser extension because many open AI applications are used through the browser, so the extension gives an alert and at the same time stops the sharing of data over the internet, making the extension the best feature. I would also say that LayerX endpoint is excellent if an organization uses it, as it gives an in-depth idea of how the users are sharing the data over the internet, what they are searching, and also helps us to control the device.

LayerX can be improved, as many times it hampers users' searches. If we fill the application with a lot of keywords and restrict it significantly, it often hampers the searching capability of any user over the internet.

Regarding the needed improvements, the performance part is quite good, and the function is also smooth. However, LayerX many times blocks users' searching capabilities as they are not aware of how LayerX functions, since it operates based on specific keywords. I think the AI integration part should be improved to be more adaptable to users across the organization, particularly to non-technical users.

LayerX is stable in my experience.

LayerX's scalability for my organization is quite good, and I would rate it somewhere around 9 to 9.5. Scalability-wise, it is decent, and we have moved the extension of LayerX as well as the client to all users' desktops and laptops, helping us make the environment compliant while overseeing the governance part of the company.

The customer support for LayerX is really good, as their response time is quite fast and the SLA is pretty good.

I did not previously use a different solution, as at the time I worked in my organization, LayerX was being introduced, so I have worked with this product only.

I have seen a return on investment, as it has really helped us a lot in safeguarding the company's data and user data as well as making the environment and the company compliant. It has also helped us in getting the ISO audits cleared, so it really helped us a lot.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for LayerX has been quite good, as the licensing part is very genuine and can be afforded by any type of organization, whether it is a mid-level organization, an enterprise, or a startup. I would say the price is quite competitive and decent according to the market, and the benefits LayerX provides are really good.

Before choosing LayerX, we evaluated other options as well, including Mimecast, Sophos, Microsoft Purview, and many others, but according to the price segment and the AI-based model of LayerX, we opted for LayerX.

I would rate LayerX a nine out of ten.

I chose nine out of ten because LayerX is quite a new application in the market and is still growing with a lot of evolution happening over time. I think with passing time it will become up to the mark of ten, but as of now, I would say it is a nine.

Regarding LayerX's AI capabilities, I think its governance, security, and compliance part are quite good, as it helps the organization stay compliant while safeguarding the user data and the company's data. In terms of LayerX's AI capabilities, its accuracy and reliability of output have been consistent for me, but sometimes we face certain problems due to the AI model, as it is an application that is still evolving and growing. It is quite good, but with the passage of time it will be best.

My advice for others looking into using LayerX is to design the integration of LayerX with your company's environment in a very efficient manner. Use appropriate keywords and block the data that you want to restrict over the internet, otherwise it could restrict the user browsing experience. I have no additional thoughts about LayerX as everything is good. I gave this review a rating of nine out of ten.
