What is our primary use case?
Kaspersky Cybersecurity Services is a major reason I chose this solution because the brand has a constant knack for keeping up with security. Additionally, the way they were able to customize it for our on-premises deployment was impressive, as customization is not an easy thing to achieve.
We are continuing to use Kaspersky, but in the upcoming years, we do have a plan to migrate to other solutions. I am looking at them and using review reports to help find alternatives.
What is most valuable?
The value of real-time threat monitoring in our cybersecurity strategy has helped us significantly. We had nothing to begin with, and now we have something to keep a constant eye on. However, as threats continue to evolve and we have taken an on-premises approach, it is something that needs to be on an upgrade cycle periodically.
As for functionality, everything works fine. The only concern is the pricing part.
What needs improvement?
There is definitely room for improvement, especially with AI coming into play. I believe they are already working on it, but we probably have an older version because it is an on-premises solution.
Licensing costs must remain competitive with so many things coming up in the market. The problem arises as everything is now driven by AI, and everyone looks to change partners for more productive and cheaper rates to save on OPEX.
We are not yet working with automation software solutions. We are still working on those items as part of a roadmap, but we have not yet started implementation. We are looking for solutions such as EDR and network security at this time.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with the product for not more than five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We did not face any issues during implementation except for a hindrance we encountered during SSO configuration. Other than that, we experienced no problems.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Implementation took a couple of days because we also had to understand the product and how it would sit on the server, since it is an on-premises solution.
I was not personally involved with deployment, but I was kept informed about it.
How are customer service and support?
I had a couple of issues that we reached out about, and they responded quickly and were responsive. They stick to the SLAs assigned to us.
We did utilize the cybersecurity training program offered by Kaspersky Cybersecurity Services. Only a few people participated in the training program, and it opened our eyes to several things that we were not doing correctly, which helped us grow. However, the program was generic and could have included more predictive elements, something I expect from them as market leaders.
What other advice do I have?
The console is good and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate.
We have not used the Advanced Malware Detection feature with this product.
I would give this solution a rating of seven out of ten. It is not an eight or nine due to the challenges of constantly upgrading the on-premises solution, which is a problem of the solution itself rather than Kaspersky Cybersecurity Services.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
