The security challenges and resource constraints that led our organization to choose CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR included the manual process we faced when using CrowdStrike previously; detections would come in, and I or one of my other employees would have to look at that detection, which made it very difficult if the detection comes in at night. We have users that are overseas working remotely, and when it's the afternoon there, it's 2:00 AM here and we're sleeping. We really wanted something to get us 24/7 access without draining our employees. That's when we had a previous MDR from another company that wasn't working out for us. We were still doing all the work, which completely defeated the purpose of an MDR. So we reached out to our Falcon rep, who was absolutely amazing. We were able to investigate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, fell in love with it, and we've been on it ever since.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has transformed the workload of my internal security team significantly; without it, I wouldn't be able to be here at Fal.Con right now. I'm able to go away and sleep at night. I can focus on other tasks knowing that as soon as a detection alert comes in, if it needs my attention, they'll escalate it to me. I'm able to focus on more different tasks that are a higher priority without having to drop everything to shift my attention. This helps a lot of my other tasks get done, which keeps my CIO happy, my CTO happy, and my director happy.

My experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's capabilities for threat detection, investigation, and response has absolutely been amazing from what I can see; we had an issue where we actually had an employee that had worked there for two weeks that had fraudulent identification and was being used as the subject of an investigation by the FBI. We were notified by CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR and OverWatch, and we were able to work with them and get that taken care of before it escalated much worse. I can't go into details on that, unfortunately, but I would love to.

My experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities is that without it, I wouldn't be able to sleep. The amount of users we have that are consistently working are all over the states. Especially after COVID happened, where we shifted from everyone in the office to being remote and hiring from New York all the way to Seattle, which really would have put a damper on our small IT group of about 15 people. Only three of those have access to look at CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR detections, so without it, I couldn't fathom the company operating without it right now, not without us scaling tremendously.

I have complete visibility into the investigations and actions performed by the CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR team as they keep us completely informed on every step that they're doing. If I have questions about it, they're always rapid to answer. I never feel talked down to. I feel I'm working with them as a partner as opposed to being just another number. The security analysts on their end that are looking into these detections legitimately care about the businesses that they're trying to protect. They're fast and reliable. I'm able to get the information when I need it.

The service provided by CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has positively affected my organization's mean time to detect, investigate, or respond to threats as we have a reputation at our company of being internally fast within about 15 minutes to get results. We needed something that was going to fit that timetable, and our executives are very demanding about speed. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR was able to give us that. Within the SLAs, they stick to the SLA and most often exceed it.

The combination of CrowdStrike technology and human security expertise in the MDR service is most valuable. It's not just an agent looking at it; the way MDR works, it does have automation that does the investigations and they have automated workflows. However, at the end, the people that have created those workflows are humans on the other end that are physically checking our environment. So it's another set of eyes. It's having a permanent proofreader over a school assignment consistently while you're working, which gives you a sense of security knowing that if I miss something, they would have caught it.

An example where CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR identified or contained a threat that would otherwise have required significant effort from my team is when we had the employee that CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR OverWatch notified us about.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has affected my confidence in my organization's ability to respond to security incidents, and on a scale of one to 10, I would put it at a 10. Anything that comes in, I'm confident it's going to be taken care of or looked at within minutes. If they need me, they'll call me. I've been called a total of four times on my phone for a work incident since we've had CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, and it's been within minutes of the detection.

In terms of improvement for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, they just keep going full steam ahead. The biggest room for a house is the room for improvement, but as of right now, I don't have any complaints about CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR.

Additional features that should be included in the next release of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR would be on-demand scanning. That is something we have to do manually. For instance, if a user plugs in a USB device, even though in our environment we have USB devices locked completely, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR will still read those devices even though they can't physically access them. If it does find malicious software, those are manually done still, and that's per the SLA. I have had a few of those that have come up, but those have been few and far between.

Prior to adopting CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, we were attempting to use another solution, but it just did not meet the needs we required.

We were previously using Rapid7, and Rapid7 was what I jokingly call a hybrid MDR, whereas they point out the problem to me and then tell me what to do. It completely defeated the purpose of being a managed detection and response service. Initially when I pitched getting CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR and trying to get rid of some of the agent bloat and some of the other things, it was a win-win. There was no losing in that scenario.

I have indeed seen a return on investment with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR; it's 100%. While I don't handle the money myself, we would have had to hire basically a skeleton night crew in order to be able to take care of nighttime detections, where we're expected to have 24/7, 100% uptime.

My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has been that I wasn't really involved with the pricing. I will say that it was pricier than our previous solution, but it's far more reliable. The adage holds true that you get what you pay for.

I don't think we really considered any other solutions before selecting CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR; we just wanted to keep everything consistent. We were focused on shrinking down and getting rid of agent bloat, especially with how we've been expanding as a company and the things we're installing. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR was really the first one on our list to check out, and it ended up being the last one.

What stood out to me in my evaluation process, both positive and negative, when comparing options for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, is that the only negative is that it is pricey, but you're paying for 24/7 eyes on your entire environment. The positive side of things is that everything was very transparent. Our sales rep was very transparent. Our channel team worked with us and checked in with us once a month when we go over everything at a high-level overview. Our security advisor works with us once a quarter, and we go over the highs and lows and where we can improve, while overall looking at our environment and making recommendations, which I can solve in the next quarter.

The advice I would give to other organizations considering CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is why wait? That's literally all it comes down to. You're getting a full SOC team that's looking after your environment 24/7, so you can sleep at night, even if it's just double-checking your work in the way a proofreader would. I would rate this solution a 10.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR was the best, quickest way to get us there.

Before selecting CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, we considered Arctic Wolf, SentinelOne, and Defender.

What stood out to me in my evaluation process, both positive and negative, when comparing these solutions was the track record that CrowdStrike had. I did some validation in my own network with some of the people I know that are running CrowdStrike, and their experience versus others running SentinelOne or Defender showed that the feedback I got from people running CrowdStrike was much stronger, which helped us to say that there's probably a good reason for that.

I define success with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR by the fact that we haven't been compromised; we're able to detect any infiltration, we're able to catch them and contain them, so far it's a good success.

My experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities is that I don't use it that much, but my team interfaces with that, and I do see the interactions; the response is very quick, so I know that there's actually a 24/7 monitoring of my environment, which is one of the most important things for me.

We have a lot of visibility into the investigations and actions performed by CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, as our team typically takes the time whenever there's an incident or detection to connect with the Complete team to learn more and understand where it comes from, so we can ourselves see if there's any root cause remediation we have to do.

The combination of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's technology and human security expertise in the MDR service is critical because it's being triaged by the Complete team and then brought up to our internal team, which is crucial; with all the AI capability now and the threat coming from AI, it adds more to the mix, but the fact that there's a human in the loop on both sides is very critical.

There are multiple examples where CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR identified or contained a threat that would otherwise have required significant effort from my team, such as a user that installed something that had malware without them knowing, and we were able to detect those successfully; some other examples include an endpoint that got compromised and then contained, we have multiple of those as examples that we've had success with.

In my opinion, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR can be improved by reducing the requirement for us to build a lot of the policies ourselves, as it would help a lot if there were more of those policies out of the box that we can leverage right away instead of developing them over time; I believe there should be a common denominator of policy that could be suggested at implementation time.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR an eight or nine, because we did have a discussion with the Complete team on some of the detection that took more time due to not having a very detailed policy in place, and I think that this is a place where it could grow better; since they start to know our environment very well and observe it, if they see policy that we should have and we don't have, they should mention it, and while I understand there are professional services available, I feel they should collaborate more with us in the day-to-day.

I have been using CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR for three years.

I believe we have seen a return on our investment with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, as the fact that we're catching things and the Complete team is detecting intrusions reflects the return on investment we're looking for.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has increased my confidence in my company's ability to respond to security incidents a lot, since we didn't have anything when we started.

I think that CrowdStrike does have an edge when compared to other solutions I evaluated, as one thing we see very clearly is that the agent running on the endpoint is very light and doesn't clog down the system; I've also noticed that there is a significant investment in innovation on what's next during events, which gives me a lot of confidence that the product is evolving with what's happening in the world.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR works very well alongside my internal security team and existing SOC processes, as we started by getting the Complete team in and then put in the SOC process afterwards, so we basically did a leap first and then adjusted after.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has affected my company's mean time to detect, investigate, or respond to threats positively, as the fact that there's a 24/7 service makes it hard to tell, because before we didn't have one and didn't even have a security team; the whole point of doing this, getting this leap instead of building an internal team and going to Complete is that they fill that gap, and we have since started training our infrastructure team to be more secure, aware, and knowledgeable to be able to react, but the first line of defense is still the Complete team.

Overall, I am very satisfied with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR.

We have been CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR customers for about four years, and before that, we were standard CrowdStrike Falcon users. After having that for a year, we upgraded to the MDR solution.

Our main use case for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is that we really want 24/7 visibility. I am the only security person on staff where I work, and so having that extra layer of visibility was a big plus.

A quick specific example of how that 24/7 visibility has helped me in my day-to-day work is that even after hours, we get alerts to our email if there's anything we need to look at. By the time I see the email, I can log into the Falcon console, and I can already see that the Falcon Complete team has already closed the ticket and checked on the alert for us.

We chose CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR because I'm just one person, and I cannot be looking at alerts 24/7. Eventually, I clock out and get to go home, so having Falcon Complete MDR has been a big help to have that 24/7 visibility.

The best features CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR offers are a lot of information that you get every time you get an alert. There is so much telemetry that the sensor is pulling, so it is really easy to figure out what is going on on the computer. Since we are MDR customers, so many of those different alerts are already worked for us. We still look at them and check on them, but normally by the time we get to them, that status is already closed because it has already been checked on.

Out of all those features, the one that I find myself relying on the most day-to-day is having that person on your team to help augment your staff. Since I am the only one on the team, it is super nice and super helpful knowing that we have someone else on the team, that being the MDR team that we have. That is probably the biggest difference, knowing that even if I do not understand a specific alert that comes in, I can send a chat to the Falcon Complete team through the support message, and they will explain in pretty great detail about what the alert is doing and if there is any extra remediation I need to do.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has impacted my organization positively because we have not been hacked yet, and that is a great thing. There are several municipalities or other organizations in our area and our state that have been hit, that obviously do not use CrowdStrike. We obviously do use CrowdStrike, and we have not been hacked, and so that is the biggest impact that you could ask for.

The biggest improvement that could be made to CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, and I have actually brought this up to our representative, is that since we are Falcon Complete customers, I would love to see some more annual reporting on basically how many alerts were worked and by the MDR team, especially material that we could give to executive management to help justify the price tag of Falcon Complete MDR. I think that would be the biggest benefit, having some end-of-year reports going over all the things that Falcon protected us against.

I do not have anything to complain about regarding the scalability of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR. I have never had any issues with it.

The customer support for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is pretty good. We raise tickets when we have issues or questions, and they get back to us real quick.

I have pretty good visibility into the investigations and actions performed by the Falcon Complete team because they have notes on every alert. If I ever have another question, I will put in a ticket right from that console, and they will usually get back to me pretty quick.

We were previously using Rapid7, so we used their Rapid or their InsightVM and their InsightIDR tool for their vulnerability management and detection and response.

My advice to others looking into using CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is to go for it. It is going to be an investment, but it is an investment in protecting your company and your company's data. I have no issues with us switching to CrowdStrike. It has been super beneficial, so I would tell other people to go for it.

Since using CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, I feel a lot more confident knowing that we have help when it comes to the MDR side. Sometimes when an alert comes in, I am sitting there looking at it for a few minutes, trying to figure out what is actually going on. I am trying to decipher if it is a false positive or if it is an actual event, and while I am sifting through all that information trying to figure it out, our MDR team has already checked on it for us, so having that extra confidence is invaluable.

The combination of CrowdStrike technology and human security expertise in the MDR service is super valuable for me because I can quickly get an answer that comes back really fast, but then double-checked with the actual team. It is super valuable.

My experience with Falcon Complete MDR's capabilities for threat detection, investigation, and response is that every time we get an alert, I am logging in and looking at the alert. By the time I get logged in and look at it, the Falcon Complete team has already assessed what is going on and either closed the ticket because it was a false positive or remediated the issue, such as removing a file or blocking a file.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has changed the workload of my internal security team because it has removed some material off our plate, but it has also added some material. We have a lot of different modules bolted onto our Falcon console, so there is a lot of remediation that we need to do to make ourselves more secure. It has offloaded a lot of the responsibility of these different alerts that come in and double-checking and making sure everything is good on that front. It has added some material to our workload, but it has also taken away.

I give CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR a rating of 10 out of 10. We are probably going to be Falcon Complete customers as long as I am at this organization. I love it.

I feel strongly about giving it the highest rating of a 10 because we have not been hacked, and we have not been close to being hacked. What more can you ask for from your antivirus? It is protecting us on all fronts. They have a lot of bolt-ons with the identity, the Next-Gen Identity, and a lot of those other things. It is protecting us from all angles, so why not give it a 10 if it is doing that great of a job?

Regarding CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's AI capabilities, I think it is good. It is something that we are looking at rolling into and rolling out, and it is something that I have little experience with, but it is supposed to be doing a good job.

Regarding CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's AI capabilities, I think its accuracy and reliability of output are pretty good. There have been a few times that I have asked it questions, and the response was just okay or not super detailed, but recently, it has been pretty good.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is used primarily to protect our enterprise in the life and property safety space, which has significant needs, substantial risk, and a relatively small information security practice, allowing us to protect our enterprise without having to staff a SOC and also serving as one dashboard for other security data.

In my day-to-day operations, I use CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR by quickly reviewing the complete dashboard, specifically detections, and as an identity customer, I can rapidly triage what is important, even from the detections that the complete team is not handling, allowing me to drill down into processes and user activity tied together for quick actionable information.

One key aspect I want to emphasize is the integrity of the people at CrowdStrike, particularly my representative, Ian Landis, who understands that we are in this for the long term, viewing it as a relationship and a win-win long-term partnership.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR offers the availability of having a small information security practice supported by a huge team behind us, ensuring 24/7 availability of a SOC that we would otherwise not have.

The 24/7 SOC support has positively impacted my team because I made the decision to move from EDR to MDR when I realized that EDR's actions were not being handled in a timely fashion, which necessitated the availability of people to quickly understand and respond to threats. This year, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR prevented what could have been a much bigger incident.

The security challenges and resource constraints that led my organization to choose CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR stemmed not from a technology constraint but from attempting to reduce my technology stack, as I had accumulated a lot of technology, which was the problem. I really wanted to get to not a single technology, but close enough. We are trying to solve the single pane of glass issue, and while there is no such thing as a single pane of glass, with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, we are getting closer.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR works alongside my internal security team and existing SOC processes for a specific purpose, as I did not want my team dealing with alerts at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. It is a very nice complement to my team, having the eyes and ears 24/7, and then having the ability to triage things that are priority one. When there are things above priority one, such as priority two or three, they have the right context and know when to alert my team.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has changed the workload of my internal security team by reducing the number of screens we have to look through, and I was able to remove everything, which is a personal favorite of mine, as everything is on a single contract. I have reduced my complexity around contract management, and I have also reduced the complexity around screen management for my team.

My experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities has been better, as having them act as my eyes and ears 24/7 frees up my team to do more productive things. My team is still doing layer two and three, but they filter out the noise, which gets us to the signal we need, and that makes a clear difference regarding productivity for the team.

I have great visibility into the investigations and actions performed by CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR team, because now that we have deployed Complete, we have visibility not only on the endpoints but throughout the entire infrastructure. Having the ability on the support side to filter out the noise to get us to the signal has been fantastic.

The combination of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's technology and human security expertise in the MDR service is very valuable, as you need both. You cannot remove the human element, which is very important for oversight specifically, but having the right technology with the right person to manage that technology, understanding what is necessary and what is not necessary, makes a huge difference in any organization. The human element is critical, but having the right technology is a very serious complement and it is necessary for both.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR can be improved by working on their ability to provide file integrity monitoring a little bit better and across more platforms, but outside of the FIM, they are pretty solid.

I have been using CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR for currently a year, and prior, in a prior life, for four years.

Prior to adopting CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, I was using another solution to address similar needs because I bought CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR after having another managed service provider, another EDR tool, and another SIEM tool. I replaced three or four different technologies or partners with one partner, which was a plus.

For me, it was a no-brainer at the end of the day. I recommend looking at what you need, what is happening in your specific environment, what type of resources you have to bring to the table, and where you see a fit, because there is no such thing as a silver bullet in our business. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR comes pretty close. I have rated this review an 8 out of 10.

We have not experienced a bad threat with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR. However, we have received some false positives during internal testing, such as a network scan. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR detected it right away as it was not common in our environment, and the Falcon sensor picked it up immediately.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has increased my confidence in our organization's ability to respond to security incidents. We feel 100% confident in any possible threat that may arise since we are able to conduct in-depth and thorough investigations.

Since CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is mostly managed by CrowdStrike, the biggest part of my experience is investigating low-end events, updating and administrating prevention policies, and managing our group management and roles management. My work focuses more on implementing policies than actual security investigations.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR has definitely lifted a lot of the endpoint security responsibility and monitoring off our team because we pay for the actual manager from CrowdStrike to do it for us, which has helped us focus on other aspects of security instead of having to do all the investigations ourselves.

My experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities is excellent, although the only downside at this time is that the UI can be a bit odd, especially with configuration and how it is set up.

In some cases, I think some Falcon analysts do not provide enough context and offer only quick lines without explaining why they may be downgrading or upgrading a threat, but in most cases, it is pretty transparent.

A lot of the toolbars in CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR interface are odd because when you select or open options, there might not be an option to change it, or there is so much detail in one table that you literally have to scroll extremely far to gather all the data, making it not intuitive for a newer individual. I do not have that much experience, so it can be confusing at times when there is so much data and specific objects can be hard to access, especially since not all solutions are showing up in your Falcon instance even if you do not have those add-ons, which can make it a bit overwhelming.

Regarding improvements for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, my biggest concern is about the GUI, which I know is already in the process of being updated to be more intuitive and easier to use.

Our main use case for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is having extra support when it comes to handling detections and response.

We are a smaller organization and so if some members of our team are out and something arises, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR's extra support is very beneficial because all of the members of Complete are very knowledgeable and are able to help support us.

The full 24/7 managed detection and response is invaluable. Being able to contact them anytime we have questions or concerns is extremely helpful.

There have been instances where we have a detection come up and we have to reach out to their support to see if it's a false positive or try to get more details on the detection to know if there's any action that needs to be taken.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR gives us very good peace of mind knowing that our organization is protected, and we have more eyes on our environment if any detections arise. It has helped us because when detections do arise, it takes significantly less time researching them to know if it is something that is worth pursuing, and we are able to allocate resources and time elsewhere.

Our network guy is alerted quickly and actually comes to us developers so we can get notified right away. The detection is there, and the response time for us makes it a lot quicker than waiting until the next day when we come in and find out there's been an issue.

Going back to the development side, Falcon Complete identified and contained a threat when I downloaded a NuGet package from Visual Studio. Falcon Complete detected that, and having it blocked and figuring out it was a bad NuGet package saved our team.

I think CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR can be improved, and we saw some new releases coming out this year. I'm looking forward to the Falcon Guardian and implementing that as well into our current solution.

We switched from Trend Micro products to CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR. Previously, our internal team was managing Trend Micro, but there were some gaps in managing it. We have now selected CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, which is a managed detection and response product that is completely managed by the Falcon US team, and everything is perfectly managed by them.

We are using the threat intelligence feature. The US team showed us how to use it during a call. From the beginning, there were large volumes of detections we were getting, and we were able to look granularly at each system to see what vulnerabilities and threats we are receiving and what kind of IPs are hitting us. We were able to look precisely at each end user and started working on blocking and blacklisting threats. Now we are getting very rare notifications on these threats or any hits.

We are getting real-time response from CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR.

Sometimes we are facing performance issues with the end-user systems, and sometimes it is blocking a few of our applications, which we later resolve with the team. Recently, we were having our call center application running on the systems, which suddenly stopped working because CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR was not allowing it to run. After removing CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, it started working, and then later we added the application URLs and the communication URLs to CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR allow list, so it started working.

Some processor utilization needs to be dropped because now Windows systems are consuming more CPU and RAM than earlier. Windows 10 was fine, but Windows 11 is consuming more CPU and RAM. If CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is contributing to consuming the resources, then other applications are taking a lot of time to run. In Windows 11, we are facing this issue sometimes, and we need more powerful systems than earlier.

I would also appreciate improvements on the pricing side. Some of our locations where people are isolated, we are not buying CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR due to the pricing. If there is a nominal reduction in the price, then we will go for everyone in the organization.
