AI-powered discovery enhances threat visibility while customer support excels
I am a reseller. One of our customers suffered an attack a few months ago, and they discovered that they have some data available on the deep and dark web. The biggest driver for using ThreatMon was takedown services. SIEM integration into their incident response was also essential. They wanted…

Built faster threat response and improved visibility with real-time monitoring and flexible deployment
TrendAI Vision One allows us to monitor attacks in real time, which is a significant benefit. We can quickly see where the attack is coming from. TrendAI Vision One enables us to use different products with a flexible license. For example, if a customer is using endpoint security and wants to switch to another solution, they can instantly use a different Trend Micro product, such as email. TrendAI Vision One has helped to reduce the time to detect and respond to different threats, as it can respond to attacks very quickly. With playbook templates, in cases of recurring attacks, responses can be made quickly using predefined playbooks. TrendAI Vision One has helped to reduce noise from false positives. There have been false positives before, but it was due to the customer not telling us which app they were using. Best practice configurations must be applied properly to avoid such issues. TrendAI Vision One helps customers consolidate the use of security vendors and reduce silos by offering one platform for all product management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Machine learning or AI discovery, which discovers our resources on the deep and dark web, has been very useful."
"I would recommend ThreatMon."
"TrendAI Vision One has reduced our time to detect and respond to threats almost sixty-five to seventy percent."
"From an automation point of view, I find the ability to curate and deploy playbooks very helpful. I find that very convenient for us."
"Our speed has increased significantly."
"The best features TrendAI Vision One offers are the dashboard, reporting, and the customer service experience, specifically the customer service experience."
"The best features in TrendAI Vision One are the workbench and the XDR feature for the playbooks; we continue to use these two features extensively."
"Trend Vision One's greatest assets are its cloud-based platform and credit-based purchasing system, which eliminate the need for traditional licensing and procurement processes, enabling quick product acquisition within one or two days."
"We had a quick deployment. The solution is easy to set up."
"It is so helpful to have something that pulls all the data into one visual representation of the events."

Cons

"ThreatMon is very expensive."
"We are looking at a better pricing model to onboard as many customers as possible."
"There are no specific missing features at the moment, though improvement is always possible in making things more intuitive and easier to use."
"TrendAI Vision One needs to work on its logging system as the logging systems are very complex, and they need to reform their logs in a more informative way."
"There isn't a lot I'd do to change it. The web interface could be improved to sort of make it a little easier to manage multiple clients out of one location. It could also be made a bit easier to sort of manage the licensing side of it."
"Trend Vision One would be enhanced by incorporating an SIEM solution as a built-in feature."
"The SOAR features (Security Playbooks) are quite limited."
"In Trend Vision One, there is always room for improvement. The console is well done, but there might be a bit of improvement needed with the app's capabilities."
"It would be great if there were Trend Micro products that could enhance the security of these devices, either as part of our product or in some other way integrated into our offering."
"The agent system is very slow, it needs to improve its performance."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Vision One's pricing is extremely competitive. They're probably the lowest-cost provider that has this feature set."
"I feel that Vision One is a bit expensive. As for the pricing or licensing, I would rate it a seven out of ten."
"Trend Micro XDR is reasonably priced for its value, comparable to other products like VMware Carbon Black."
"Trend Micro solutions are very expensive compared to other solutions. Even though everything is in one console, each feature requires a separate license."
"Trend Micro recently switched from a license-based pricing model to a credit system, which caused some initial frustration during my renewal."
"Trend Micro's cost is higher than other solutions. That is the main reason why we need to switch to another solution."
"When I compare it to its peers that can do the same, it is cost-effective."
"I do not have much visibility to it. It is definitely not a cheap product, but to my knowledge, it is out there with the big wigs in the industry, such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and other EDR/XDR vendors. I had heard, and found out eventually, that their sales teams are very flexible, as more sales teams are."
