Automation features and user-friendly interface support seamless communication
Slack is very supportive in terms of communication between my colleagues and clients. While working with the reimbursement feature, I found the automation capabilities on Slack to be incredibly useful, allowing me to automate messages for specific dates or times and even to greet someone on their birthday. I haven't specifically used the channel organization feature of Slack, as I am added to channels, but I use it with Airtable, which automates notifications to a specific Slack channel when a user fills out a form on our website. In my experience, Slack is a stable product for communication, and I appreciate its automation features and integration of AI capabilities for enhancing specific functions.

Provides ease of communication and is a stable solution
We use the solution for our organization's internal and commercial communications The solution's most valuable feature is the ease of communication. We can schedule meetings without any network interruptions. It works fine on lower networks as well. They should reduce data consumption and…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Slack is a powerpack bundle of features that help small or large organizations to handle teams and their tasks."
"The huddle feature is valuable to me."
"Overall, it is a good idea as it works better than most solutions out there."
"The most valuable feature for me was the different channels."
"We use Slack for general communication, conference calls, and sharing screens because we have people working from different countries."
"The feature that I have found most valuable is communication between team members."
"The portal is at its best version now."
"Slack is a really easy collaboration tool to use and many companies are adopting this popular tool."
"It works fine on lower networks as well."

Cons

"Slack does not have videoconferencing capabilities, which would have been nice."
"I would like to be able to do live streaming on Slack. Slack allows Slack huddle where you can do a group call, but it is not very well-designed. I'm not sure if it is going very well, but live streaming is one thing that I would definitely love to see. When you use Zoom, I like how you can run webinars. If we could do that through Slack, it would become an all-integrated platform. I would also like to be able to schedule meetings using Slack, similar to Zoom."
"From my perspective, a disadvantage of Slack compared to Teams is that connecting between the apps can be a bit difficult."
"We do experience issues when trying to log in on Slack."
"The solution’s initial setup is not very easy."
"Slack's channel and chat management could be more intuitive. Configuring chats and pinning in Teams is easier, even though Slack has these features, they are not intuitive enough to engage with."
"I think Slack could add additional features without making the solution slower or more difficult to use."
"For me, the only thing I can say is that every time somebody sent me an attachment, the attachment was listed somewhere, and then I had to open the conversation and go to the individual to open it. So there is no handy repository or an easy way to quickly look at attachments. For me, that was a bit difficult."
"They should reduce data consumption and improve network connection for video calls."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
"It is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"We use the free version that does not have a license."
"The solution is cheap in my country."
"The solution is expensive."
"When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side."
"The solution’s pricing is cheap."
"The tool's pricing could be cheaper."
"It is a cost-efficient solution."
