Simplified integrations bring flexibility and efficiency to diverse industries through comprehensive features and robust support
SAP is already trying to make improvements for SAP Process Orchestration by releasing updates every quarter, including patches and modules, and from a security standpoint, while it's a tightly coupled tool, they are introducing a lot of enhancements aligned with current market trends. There are standard contents readily available for starting integrations, which suit around 90% of every industry across verticals including pharma, manufacturing, and employee data central with SuccessFactors integration. Regarding functionality-wise improvements in SAP Process Orchestration, they are now incorporating the Salesforce system. Previously, we needed to rely on a third-party adapter for integration within SAP, but now they are building their own adapters to connect with Salesforce. Additionally, there are options like data connectors using Ariba coming up with SAP Process Orchestration. There's much more to explore, especially as they release new patches, enhancements, and adapters each quarter.

Data management has ensured compliant clinical trial datasets and supports reliable analysis
SAS Data Management's best feature is first, data reliability because SAS Data Management is a very trusted platform. The other valuable feature is data cleaning and the compliance that SAS Data Management provides. I can connect SAS Data Management with other SAS applications, as I am using SAS Viya, SAS 9.4, and SAS Enterprise Guide. The data query functionality of SAS Data Management is also very useful. Since I am using SAS Data Management, and SAS Data Management is well trusted by all regulatory authorities, the audit trails and security checks are very good. It is very reliable, very time-saving, and the chances of error are minimal.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"SAP Process Orchestration is middleware where we are able to manage and interact with everything from a single location. One of the most beneficial areas is monitoring which is very easy because it is all in one place. There are many adapters added recently that can be used for new functionality. The solution is easy to operate and it is more mature than the cloud solution provided by SAP."
"The product has good technical support but you usually will not need it because it is quite stable."
"With the latest version what I find to be the most valuable are the REST, SuccessFactors, and Ariba Network adapters."
"The most valuable features of SAP Process Orchestration are the standard APIs that we can use."
"In my opinion, SAP PO is the most mature suite of tools to integrate processes across SAP environments at this moment. It's really unbeatable because it allows you to integrate whatever scenarios you can imagine."
"The standard adapter with EBA abilities is the most valuable feature. It has good process integration."
"Someone who has to work on a PO should at least have a basic understanding of Java because as it is an integration tool, the way SAP provides to transform the messages from one structure to another is very good."
"The solution provides very good and central logging systems. It offers high flexibility with vertical and horizontal extend capacity."
"The interface of the solution is great, you don't need to be an experienced analytics person to work with the product, and even new users can do all sorts of modeling on the data."
"Previously our business users would have to write complex SQL or issue requests to the technical team in order to get the information needed, and they find it much easier using the Dataflux product to access the information stored in the database for the type of analyses they have to do on a day to day basis."
"This is an established product with powerful data analysis and varied options for user entry points."
"I find the solution to be very stable."
"The platform's robust data governance capabilities ensure strong compliance with regulatory standards."
"The monitoring capabilities are very good."
"The solution is very stable. We haven't faced any issues with glitches or bugs. We haven't had any crashes."
"The tool is reliable, quick, and powerful."

Cons

"Process Orchestration doesn't provide authentication for data sent to us, meaning we have to rely on client certificate-based or basic authentication."
"There are two main areas for improvement: performance and cost."
"The monitoring governance offered by SAP is too technical; only the consultants that have technical skills or development skills are able to manage this product."
"SAP should improve the user interface, as it often lacks modern features and aesthetic appeal."
"It is not a scalable solution for the cloud. I would not recommend this for organizations that are primarily cloud-based."
"It would be beneficial to enhance the ease of implementing new projects and improve overall stability in our implementations."
"Process Orchestration needs to provide secure connectivity as no one has any data information."
"The solution needs to move to the cloud."
"For the amount of features that we use, the licensing is expensive."
"Costly. Not great for non-ETL use cases."
"SAS Data Management can be improved in terms of the learning curve."
"Complex, as usual with SAS"
"Customer Service: When DataFlux was a standalone company, the customer service deserved an A+ rating. Now that it is a wholly owned subsidiary of SAS, and just one piece of a giant software conglomerate, I would give them a C+."
"The support for SAS in Brazil is not the best one, but the support in Sweden is really good, as they visit the company and work to solve the issues."
"The stability could be a bit better. It's lacking in this area right now."
"I would like the tool to include the ability to automate the modifications of the integrations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is not a low-priced solution, but I can say that it is competitively priced in the market."
"It is a very expensive solution. We only pay for the license."
"Looking at market conditions, vendors nowadays are giving products at very low price levels. However, SAP Process Orchestration have not yet reduced their prices. The prices could be reduced a lot to stay competitive."
"The pricing for this solution is fine."
"The price of SAP Process Orchestration was reasonable."
"The fee for maintenance is costly."
"There are fees in addition to the licensing."
"We subscribe to annual licenses, and the competitive license cost is reasonable."
"The tool is a bit expensive."
"The licensing model for vCenter is a perpetual license with yearly payments."
"The solution is expensive."
"While it is even free for personal use on the cloud, it can be expensive for desktop installations and enterprise use."
