Uses data-driven insights to improve workflows and highlights a need for simpler automation tools
Salesforce Sales Cloud can be improved in several areas. First, the UI is an area for enhancement. Even though they've launched Lightning, it's clunky at times with page load speeds. It also needs to be made extremely more user-friendly. For new people using Salesforce Sales Cloud, there is a steep learning curve. Additionally, giving non-admins the ability to make changes on the fly is something that I feel is necessary. Currently with Salesforce Sales Cloud, you need to have a consultant. It's hard to build the flows or workflows. Making it easier for that end-user who's not so technically minded to help themselves is essential. I choose seven out of ten because I think you need a consultant or a consulting company to help you build it out. Certain changes should be made much easier and more user-friendly where an admin can do it. The automation processes need to be much simpler. If you're looking at other tools out there, for example SalesLoft or HubSpot, it's much easier to build those workflows and do automation.

The project and task management features are valuable.
Project and task management Finance and bill management CRM We use it as a team management tool and online service for billing and finance management, and contact management as well. We are waiting for a new UI design, and also I think that not having a mobile version is a weakness. I think I…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features of Sales Cloud most useful for testing and running email campaigns are highly valuable."
"The most valuable feature of Salesforce Sales Cloud is for teams the ability to do marketing on our page and to manage their marketing leads. You are able to close a deal and do the renewal. For the life cycle management for customer management, we use Salesforce Sales Cloud. The performance of the solution is good."
"It gives us great visibility into tracking opportunities and interactions with customers through email and phone conversations."
"Generally speaking, Salesforce is for tracking all the processes within the company."
"I never needed technical support for the solution, because I never had any issues to complain about."
"The dashboards and dashboard customization are great."
"I would recommend Sales Cloud for anyone who has a sales team that needs to be optimized and for any size of enterprise."
"Sales Cloud in particular is a very, very powerful tool, and we can build on top of the existing platform for the requirements each company has."
"Creating a streamlined process from sales through to completion of projects has made an immense difference to our operations."
"It is deceptively simple but remarkably powerful."
"WORKetc is a great tool; complex and useful; maybe even too complex with a lot of customized options."

Cons

"Sales Cloud could be improved with more training. In general, the training is very good, but you have to really seek out some good options in order to upskill yourself."
"In the next release, I would like to see more integration."
"Salesforce Sales Cloud does not integrate with Slack or WhatsApp, for example. As a result, there is no easy way to directly log a conversation with a client that occurred on one of these platforms. There are a few things that still need to be done manually in these instances."
"Applications that can help with migrating data over from the sandbox to production would make it easier because sometimes change sets can be bulky and they're not always as effective."
"It could have a more user-friendly interface."
"Its reporting capabilities can be improved. Its reporting interface should be improved to personalize reports."
"When importing from other apps, it gets messy."
"The technical support is the one area that Salesforce needs the most improvement. They are slow to respond, and in many cases you don’t get the help you need."
"We are waiting for a new UI design, and also I think that not having a mobile version is a weakness."
"The UI needs to move forward to a refreshed version but this is in the works."
"It just feels that the current UI is a bit old school."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We must pay for the licenses."
"Salesforce Sales Cloud is an expensive solution."
"Being license based, the license varies by type. The pricing is considered average."
"It's expensive, storage being the most costly aspect."
"We pay a yearly subscription fee."
"In terms of investment value and return of the investment, Salesforce right now is pretty good on the Western markets where the price of the employees is pretty high."
"The price of Salesforce Sales Cloud could be reduced. It is expensive."
"Implementation and add-ons may be additional costs."
