The best features of Talend Data Integration are its rich set of components that let you connect to almost any data design intuitive and its strong automation and scheduling capabilities. The TMap component is especially valuable because it allows flexible transformation, joins, and filtering in a single place. I also rely a lot on context variables to manage different environments like Dev, Test, and production, without changing the code. The error handling and logging tools are very helpful for monitoring and troubleshooting, which makes the workflow more reliable. Talend Data Integration has helped our company by automating and standardizing data processes. Before, many of these tasks were done manually, which took more time and often led to errors. With Talend Data Integration, we built automated pipelines that extract, clean, and load data consistently. This not only saves hours of manual effort, but also improves the accuracy and reliability of data. As a result, business teams had faster access to trustworthy information for reporting and decision making, which directly improved efficiency and productivity. Talend Data Integration has had a measurable impact on our organization. By automating daily data loading processes, we reduced manual effort by around three or four hours per day, which saved roughly 60 to 80 hours per month. We also improved data accuracy. Error rates dropped by more than 70% because validation rules were built into the jobs. In addition, reporting teams now receive fresh data at least 50% faster, which means they can make decisions earlier and with more confidence. Overall, Talend Data Integration has increased both efficiency and reliability in our data workflows.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is able to utilize the SQL server toolkit and it has tight integration with the SQL server."
"Profisee is an all-in-one tool; all you need to do is plug in your data points from various data sources and you are good to go."
"We really like the matching and merging features."
"The most valuable features for ensuring data accuracy and quality are mappings and creating business rules."
"The process of categorizing data, creating glossaries, and generating metadata is streamlined and less time-consuming."
"The client is doing really well; in fact, they've been published in several IT magazines for their efforts, and also for their data cleansing efforts and their data stewardship."
"Profisee's customer service is very responsive, and they have a comprehensive training academy, Profisee Academy, that helps guide the implementation process."
"Overall, the management and running environment are very stable, and I would rate it an eight out of ten."
"Better control and flexibility to add/custom define features, to tailor to your needs by modifying its Java generated code."
"I would definitely recommend others to implement this product as it is really helpful, easy to learn, user friendly, provides lot of enhanced features, etc."
"Flexibility is a key feature I appreciate about Talend Data Integration, especially the integration of Java within it and the ease of integrating with multiple source repositories such as GitHub and Bitbucket."
"What I like about the Talend MDM Platform is that it's a good vendor diagnostic tool."
"The availability of connectors is great."
"Some of the algorithms that are inbuilt in Talend Data Quality, such as Levenshtein, are the most valuable functions for us."
"It meets our operational and analytical data integration needs by providing us with a high performing set of tools to access, transform and integrate data in real time."

Cons

"Some security complexities might add time to the setup."
"A more convenient approach would involve integrating all the pre-existing elements into Profisee itself."
"When we updated to version 7.1, there were some workflow issues."
"The way training is laid out in their Profisee University, makes it really, really hard to find what you need fast."
"Profisee could improve in providing clearer data lineage information."
"With M rows, it runs too slowly and has memory issues."
"If I am designing something in Talend Data Integration, I cannot backtrack in the flow. For example, if I read data from a source and transform it before applying complex aggregation in the third step, I cannot join this data with the second step."
"I would like to sync a project and do an upload from that current version, and then from GitLab, be able to download the latest one."
"Qlik Talend Cloud has impacted my organization by increasing the license cost, leading many companies to decide to decommission Talend, as they find the cost too high."
"There are no natural connections for some of the applications that I use more regularly."
"Needs integrated data governance in terms of dictionaries, glossaries, data lineage, and impact analysis. It also needs operationalization of meta-data."
"What's missing in the Talend MDM Platform is that it's not maintaining technology references. For example, my company needs a reference case if the platform has been implemented for a configuration that's similar to the client's required configuration. Currently, the client is still reluctant to roll out the Talend MDM Platform at a wider level because there's still no reference received from the Talend team."
"Qlik Talend Cloud could be improved with more advanced monitoring and flexible alerts, as well as better job performance visibility."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We didn't come across any additional licensing fees."
"The pricing is moderate, falling in the middle range—not excessively low nor overly expensive."
"The pricing is a little higher than what I had expected, but it's comparable with I-PASS competitors."
"The tool is cheap."
"The product pricing is considered very good, especially compared to other data integration tools in the market."
"I would advise to first take a look and at the Open Studio edition. Figure out what you need and purchase the appropriate license."
"We did not purchase a separate license for DQ. It is part of our data platform suite, and I believe it is well-priced."
"The price is on a per-user basis. It's a little more expensive than other tools. There aren't any additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"I have been using the open-source version."
"The licensing cost is about 40,000 Euros a year."
