We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Polarion ALM helps us better structure our customer requirements, and we can also validate the specs of our products against those. If anything changes on our side, we see the impact, and we can see the effect If a customer changes requirements.""We had a nice experience with technical support.""I am impressed with the solution’s stability.""It meets with everybody's needs without having to grab plugins.""The initial setup of this solution was straightforward, and there were not too many problems with it.""The tool helped us to more effectively and efficiently gather and structure the information (requirements, test plans, project management data, etc.), and share it with the involved stakeholders in a safe and change-controlled manner.""The best feature of Polarion ALM to me is its traceability link.""The solution offers good integration."

"It's a good platform to keep track of all the user stories across all projects. So rather than having one off Excel spreadsheets with all of the requirements, it is a good place to have all of that.""The main ways that I used it when I was in it day to day was keeping up with the burn rate within the teams. Also, to track at the feature level too, as far as how we were doing with actually being able to deliver that feature.""It's designed around Agile, so it has all of the pieces that match up with the process.""Reporting is much easier and faster than Micro Focus ALM, with CA AC built on web services... Also, the data is more granular when it comes to tasks, iterations, sprints, and releases.""The most valuable features are in-line editing, easy custom view setup, intuitive and helpful visuals (e.g., contextual formatting) and the collaboration features.""Its ability to scale.""It has allowed the quality assurance team to keep all information in sync with the application requirements and user stories for our general development.""We've actually used it for virtual PI planning. We have teams in different locations, and we actually virtually do PI planning, big-room planning, using the tools."

Cons
"The tool needs to improve its planning. It also needs to add more integrations.""Test management lacks an automated process.""The solution needs to improve its user experience and graphics.""Technical support needs some improvement.""The ease-of-use could be improved a little.""Based on my understanding, the tool's integration capabilities with multiple tools is an area of concern that Polarion needs to focus on more.""The interface for this solution needs to be made more user-friendly to provide a better user experience.""We use PTC Windchill, and Polarion ALM doesn't have native integration, so we had to purchase the connector to integrate it with Polarion ALM. We still haven't implemented it."

More Polarion ALM Cons →

"It's a bit cumbersome to manage the Project Picker. As we sunset teams or projects close out - but we still have test cases tied to those teams or projects that are being used in other spaces - we have this monstrous list in the Project Picker that becomes really difficult to manage and find, and we can't clean that up ourselves. It would be nice if it was easier to do that and not lose your history.""It is hard to track the changes. For example, we're in sprint 25, and then we have 26, 27, 28, and 29. Throughout that whole time, we're developing pipelines in Azure, moving to GitHub, creating pipelines, and working with teams. But sometimes, we need to revisit specific decisions made in previous sprints, like pipeline details. Maybe it's in our Azure Wiki, GitHub, or Teams, but it's not always consistent. I wish I could search for all tasks or stories related to that particular effort without needing to know everyone's individual stories or features.""We'd like better dashboards to make visibility better.""We want Rally to generate OKRs, to allow teams to record the OKRs, and then the OKRs can be mapped to the epics and there is organizational alignment.""We would like more meaningful, customizable dashboards.""I think there needs to be some simplification. The team-level side can be challenging and complicated.""CA Agile Central does not have a workflow tool included.""The stronger CA can get on dependency mapping the better. That's the biggest hiccup. As you're setting up your features, they should make it easier to flag the dependencies, either across features or across projects. Then you're more set up for success."
