Ideal, stable, good support and it helps with the developer console
I have used MongoDB, MySQL, and Oracle. MongoDB is entirely different. It's a NoSQL platform database, so it's totally different. It is a little bit hard to work with. The way it is organized and structured is different. But between Microsoft Azure MySQL and Oracle, they are pretty similar. * Cost: Microsoft is not a preferred platform. Their licensing is very complex and expensive. Oracle is much better. * AI: In terms of data analytics and AI, Microsoft is better. Certain complex transformations are easier to do in MSSQL. So, if you have to analyze data from a lot of different data sources, it becomes much easier. However, the usage of the particular product depends on the project. Personally, I would like to work on MySQL. But in certain cases where the application scale is very large, and custom models from certain regions of the globe prefer Microsoft, then we have to go with MSSQL. But technically, there is not much difference.

Create essential reporting scripts with simplicity but has some operational challenges
We mainly create functions and scripts required for reporting The product is not complex; I do not have to create stored procedures, functions, or views. It's just simple to use. There is general room for improvement. I have been using it for five years. I have faced stability issues, mainly…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The stability of the solution is very good. I wouldn't have used it for the past seven years if I was not satisfied."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"MySQL is a centralized RDBMS in itself, and you don't have the overkill of having the full Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server. It's ideal, and it helps with the developer console. It has three versions for developers. It's a very good tool for open source."
"The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that it is flexible and is an open-source product."
"Oracle MySQL Cloud Service is easy to use and implement."
"The access to a suite of management and administration tools that simplify tasks such as database provisioning, configuration, and monitoring."
"The product is good for tuning."
"MySQL is very stable and works beautifully with large amounts of data."
"The product is not complex; I do not have to create stored procedures, functions, or views."
"Companies can scale the solution, so long as they have server room."
"Reliability for the messages is key. RabbitMQ ensures your messages are safe. They are not deleted and stuff."
"A very good, open-source platform."
"It's super easy to deploy and it also supports different languages and analytics."
"Tanzu Greenplum's most valuable features include the integration of modern data science approaches across an MPP platform."
"We have been able to set up a messaging system that facilitates data integration between the software modules that we sell."
"Very sophisticated routing control and priority messaging capabilities"

Cons

"Oracle MySQL Cloud Service's scalability is an area of concern that can be better."
"Sometimes MySQL does upgrades on the server. When we are still using the old server and when they integrate the upgrade, they don't carry along some of the old syntaxes. The versions don't sync."
"They could include more advanced features like clustering and replication in the Oracle databases."
"Sometimes, we face syntax issues with the solution."
"Integrating business intelligence or NLP solutions would help us save time and would prevent us from having to take a deep dive. Data problems seem to multiply on the system when you interact with it. Automation would save a lot of man-hours."
"The product has many bugs."
"There might be minor improvements, however, I can’t identify any particular areas for improvement at the moment."
"Oracle MySQL Cloud Service should be easier to replicate and integrate into further solutions."
"There are some security concerns that have been raised with this product."
"VMware RabbitMQ needs to create a new queue system."
"Implementing a circuit breaker scenario using RabbitMQ is complicated. This complexity arises because manual intervention is required to manage worker details and handle operations based on worker IP addresses."
"Initial setup is a little complex. It took around two weeks to deploy."
"VMware RabbitMQ's configuration process could be easier to understand."
"Maintenance is time-consuming."
"The debugging capabilities and testing flexibilities need to be improved."
"RabbitMQ is clearly better supported on Linux than it is on Windows. There are idiosyncrasies in the Windows version that are not there on Linux."

"It is an open-source product."
"The product is free since it is an open-source tool."
"The product is expensive."
"Oracle has a better licensing model compared to its competitors."
