Cost-effectiveness and pricing consistency support diverse high-intensity applications
The services of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are quite competent when compared to AWS ( /products/amazon-aws-reviews ) Cloud, and they are also lower in cost. We use compute, storage, and network services. A notable feature is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's consistent global pricing, which is advantageous. Furthermore, applications using Oracle Database ( /products/oracle-database-reviews ) not only work seamlessly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) but also benefit from a 25% offset on Oracle Database licenses.

"The initial setup was easy. It takes just a few minutes to create a virtual machine."
"Stability is not a concern with this product."

Cons

"There's a need for further customization to unlock the platform's full potential."
"The initial setup can be made easier and the technical support team should give faster responses. Oracle can introduce the VPN service that can be directly connected to the machine and perform work directly on the server. This feature can help users."
"The technical support is really bad, because their reaction time is extremely slow."
"Some of the features of this solution, such as the digital assistant, require extensive configuration before they are suitable for use. We would like these to be made more straightforward and to require less manual input."
"Areas that need improvement are the pricing and the support."
"Oracle support could be better; we had cases where certain regions experienced specific issues and received little help from Oracle."
"Though Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has robust features, improvements could be made to its authentication and identity access management, specifically in making them more seamless without using fingerprints for authentication."
"The product’s pricing should be reduced."
"There are no synthetic application monitoring and real-time monitoring features."
"The Pivotal Cloud Foundry's initial setup has a learning curve for my team, but it was easy to use."

"In the next release, they should offer additional applications for the databases, and improve the deployment experience."

"I'd like to see a larger service offering."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You're paying for the number of virtual machines you want to install in the installation."

"We do pay for the licensing cost because we have opted for a private cloud setup. So, it is a cloud setup, and we have to make payments based on the cloud size. I do not consider it very costly when comparing it to the market."
"The pricing is on the higher side and there are cheaper options available."
"The price of Pivotal Cloud Foundry could improve. However, in this category of solutions, they are all expensive."
"Licensing is on a monthly basis and right now we pay $24/month. There are no other costs over and above that."
