Cost-effectiveness and pricing consistency support diverse high-intensity applications
The services of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are quite competent when compared to AWS Cloud, and they are also lower in cost. We use compute, storage, and network services. A notable feature is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's consistent global pricing, which is advantageous. Furthermore, applications using Oracle Database not only work seamlessly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) but also benefit from a 25% offset on Oracle Database licenses.

"The autonomous database functions are an excellent feature."
"It's very easy to use it. It's very hard to configure, but it's very easy to use."
"I like having the ability to easily run Oracle Linux server instances and to deploy Oracle Middleware and WebLogic servers. Oracle's Infrastructure as a Service products are also very useful, and we're using those right now within Oracle OCI."

"The most valuable features of Oracle Cloud are the ease of navigation and stability. The solution is more feature-rich and powerful than these smaller alternatives."
"The most valuable feature of Pivotal Cloud Foundry is auto-healing and the plenty of other features that are provided."
"The most valuable features are the monitoring and the deployment is easier."
"It provides a set of developer-friendly tools that simplify application deployment."
"Stability is not a concern with this product."

Cons

"Oracle Cloud is not a user-friendly tool. From an improvement perspective, I want Oracle Cloud to be more user-friendly."
"It should have other workloads from other suppliers running on the solution."
"The Oracle Cloud platform remains complex, and despite the abundance of resources available, significant challenges can still arise during the migration process from a legacy or on-premise system. Conversely, smaller companies with less complicated systems, such as those with a two million budget, can migrate more easily."
"In a future release, they could improve by adding some form of machine learning and artificial intelligence."
"The integration tools that they offer are quite complex to use."
"The portfolio should improve for the Oracle Cloud Platform. Oracle has to increase the services offered. New services should be added to be able to compete better with Amazon AWS which is the best, and the biggest service. Oracle Cloud Platform has a small portfolio, but it's a good one."
"With Oracle you have to create your own roles and it is more complex."
"The configuration through the cloud is complicated. It's not straightforward."
"I'd like to see a larger service offering."
"Something that can be done better is canary deployment. So, right now, we're using blue-green deployment. The support for canary deployment would be nice."
"The Pivotal Cloud Foundry's initial setup has a learning curve for my team, but it was easy to use."
"In the next release, they should offer additional applications for the databases, and improve the deployment experience."
"There are no synthetic application monitoring and real-time monitoring features."
"In the next release, I would like to see easy integration with external tools."
"Pivotal Cloud Foundry could improve on the technology it is a bit complex."
"It should offer more security features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Oracle Cloud is an expensive solution."
"Improvements can be made with respect to flexibility in the licensing model."
"It's not that expensive. I think it's maybe half or one-fourth of our actual on-prem cost, especially in Oracle Data Integrator. It's pretty cheap. Maybe around $30,000 or $40,000 per month."
"The product’s pricing is reasonable compared to other tools in the market."
"The pricing for Oracle Cloud services is reasonable. Additionally, compared to other service providers, Oracle has a substantial presence and established infrastructure in Bangladesh. Considering all these factors together makes Oracle Cloud an ideal choice and a strong contender in the market."
"It is cheaper as a solution model. It isn’t cheaper than SAP but offers more features and competition."
"Make sure you read the fine print."
"There is a subscription cost rather than licensing for this product."
"You're paying for the number of virtual machines you want to install in the installation."
"The pricing is on the higher side and there are cheaper options available."
"The price of Pivotal Cloud Foundry is based on the customer's requirements. However, the price is comparable to other similar solutions."
"Licensing is on a monthly basis and right now we pay $24/month. There are no other costs over and above that."
"We do pay for the licensing cost because we have opted for a private cloud setup. So, it is a cloud setup, and we have to make payments based on the cloud size. I do not consider it very costly when comparing it to the market."
"The price of Pivotal Cloud Foundry could improve. However, in this category of solutions, they are all expensive."
