Affordability and security improve our cloud experience while learning new systems
I'm not working with any AI features in IBM Public Cloud, but they are in the process of building it.I am very satisfied with the security that IBM Public Cloud provides. I would rate IBM Public Cloud eight out of ten, where one is worst and ten is the best.

Cost-effectiveness and pricing consistency support diverse high-intensity applications
The services of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are quite competent when compared to AWS Cloud, and they are also lower in cost. We use compute, storage, and network services. A notable feature is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's consistent global pricing, which is advantageous. Furthermore, applications using Oracle Database not only work seamlessly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) but also benefit from a 25% offset on Oracle Database licenses.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There is no installation for this product because it is a cloud product."
"This is a predictable and dependable service."
"An advantage of IBM Public Cloud is the bare metal server. We can take the bare metal server. It's not shared with anyone. We can deploy our applications without sharing them with anyone. That is an advantage of IBM Public Cloud."
"This product is very good because it is accessible in remote locations, and anyone can deploy from any place."
"I've found the stability to be excellent. The performance is good."
"It provides robust analytics and management tools to give customers complete visibility into their environment and infrastructure."
"I am very much satisfied with the technical support team at IBM Public Cloud."
"The price of IBM Cloud is most valuable for us. The service is personable and gives us a good rapport. I can't say it's the best, but it was enough for our needs."
"The most valuable feature is that it offers several adaptors."
"The initial setup of Oracle Cloud is simple...It is a scalable solution."
"Oracle is a very useful tool in terms of usability and customization."
"Our recommendations are good, and we also have a bidding platform that is helpful for managed service providers. This platform can save customers up to 2-3 weeks in billing time, from 25 days to 3-4 days. We have two products: a basic product and a cloud optimization product. Both products help customers improve the performance and cost-efficiency of their cloud environments."
"The solution is stable."
"I like the solution’s stability, performance, and fault alerts."
"Technical support is good. We are partners with Oracle so we are always speaking with them."
"The strength of this product is that they have many good database options, compared to other vendors."

Cons

"Recently, we just faced some issues with the operating system due to the end of life of CentOS 6...So, then the client wanted to try it out under AWS instead of IBM. In short, it has some complexities."
"The solution needs to be more autonomous. It should let the DL go to allow for more jobs on the cloud. It could have a better interface as well."
"They do not have a very good virtual network implemented, and the VPC is the most important feature that needs to be improved."
"They could improve on customizing reporting capabilities."
"The deployment can be a bit of a pain. There are a lot of packages and a lot of options and it can require complex configuration to get it right."
"There is not a lot of support for this solution, which is something that needs to be improved."
"Normally, for any cloud, we get a lot of information on the web, but that is missing in the case of IBM Public Cloud. We need some technical support documents. That is the only thing missing in IBM Public Cloud."
"The connectivity and speed of IBM Public Cloud are much lower compared to the competition."
"Oracle Cloud could be improved with better third-party integrations."
"The main issue for the clients is that they need to understand the credit payments because if it's a currency that's not dollars or euros, Oracle will always convert it into credits and that's not easy for the customer to understand at the beginning."
"The setup was not simple."
"Though Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has robust features, improvements could be made to its authentication and identity access management, specifically in making them more seamless without using fingerprints for authentication."
"The technical support is really bad, because their reaction time is extremely slow."
"The solution's reporting part is not good and needs more development."
"The solution is expensive. So we try to use MySQL on AWS to push the data. The tool’s support could be improved."
"The initial setup can be a bit complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are using the trial version of this solution, so we have not paid anything."
"IBM Public Cloud is pretty cheap. They have an ongoing free tier that basically won't expire, so as long as your solution is small enough, you can have a test set that you can use for demos, which will cost you almost nothing."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"The price of IBM Cloud is very cheap compared to competitors AWS and Azure."
"In order to be competitive, you have to commit to a contract for at least one year, but you pay a fixed monthly fee."
"Pricing is not as fair as Amazon or Azure."
"The licensing fees are straightforward and predictable."
"IBM has a lesser price compared to other cloud service providers like Azure and AWS."
"I would rate the tool’s pricing a ten out of ten since it is expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The solution is expensive according to services and competition. Also, it is not prevalent in the market. I rate the solution’s pricing a seven on a scale of ten, where ten is expensive, and one is cheap."
"Costing depends on if you have an existing license for the application and for the operating system."
"Oracle Cloud Platform is a bit costly. You can always bring your own license or subscribe to the SaaS option, but the SaaS option is very costly. I rate the pricing a six out of ten."
"Oracle Cloud is an expensive solution."
"The best aspect of the Oracle Cloud Platform is the relation between the performance and the price. When you compare the price with Amazon AWS, Microsft Azure, or any other, the price for performance is the best."
"The product offers a subscription-based licensing model."
