Customer satisfaction and data integration shine in multinational consolidations
The best features of OneStream XF are threefold. The first is Extensible Dimensionality, which allows for different levels of detail depending on the task. When budgeting for 2026, Extensible Dimensionality enables detailed breakdowns of supplies into specific items such as printer paper and magic markers. When actuals arrive, that level of detail isn't necessary. This flexibility in collecting and reporting data is a significant advantage. OneStream XF is advantageous because it provides one product that can do everything. Users do not have to purchase separate products for consolidation, planning, and reporting, which saves time and money in training and setup. OneStream XF shows a strong commitment to customer success. While 100% satisfaction is unrealistic, OneStream XF puts in substantial effort to ensure clients are successful, which contrasts sharply with experiences from companies such as SAP. OneStream XF's data integration capabilities with ERP and HCM systems are excellent, thanks to its history. The founders of OneStream XF were the creators of Upstream, which specialized in data integration. When they developed OneStream XF, they implemented that expertise, making it excel at data integration.

Has supported effective budget planning but needs better data management and performance improvements
The problem with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is that they use Essbase, causing the volume of data to increase rapidly. My customer has been using it for five years, and the database has increased to two or three terabytes, which is too big. Oracle has a limit on the database for each customer, notifying that the maximum is only three terabytes, requiring me to back it up elsewhere. The use of Essbase results in rapid database growth, which is an issue I think Oracle needs to improve. While the functions in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud are good, when I create formulas in the dimensions and refresh the data after making new dimensions, elements, or formulas, it takes a long time. I think this performance issue might be due to the large dataset, but since the system is on the cloud, the performance is still poor.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's most valuable feature is extensibility."
"OneStream XF is advantageous because it provides one product that can do everything; users do not have to purchase separate products for consolidation, planning, and reporting, which saves time and money in training and setup."
"It offers great ease of use. This impacts not only the end-user experience but also the administrator's, which affects the total cost of ownership."
"We were with Oracle previously. With Oracle, you have to buy a different piece of software for every business process. If you want to do budgeting, that's a product. If you want to do consolidation, that's a product. If you want to do BI type of work, that's yet another product. So, you end up buying a lot of software from Oracle. With OneStream, it is a little different. It is a platform where you can do all those things, and you can do them with just one software purchase and then you just pay for users on it."
"OneStream XF's unified structure makes it easier for our financial consolidation and planning processes, though I would say we have a standardized way of using it and not that much forward-looking."
"The best features of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud are that it is customizable, allowing me to filter it really well to know exactly what I want."
"Purchasing this product indeed is a value addition; it's not going to be a bomb, it's not going to add any kind of liability, and it will have quite a positive impact on a company."
"The solution offers well-integrated and dynamic platforms for all disciplines of enterprise performance management."
"Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has impacted my organization by making everything clearer and more centralized."
"If you go in with that mindset and resource it properly, it's genuinely transformative for a finance function."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"Technical support is okay, and I find the technical support from Oracle to be good."

Cons

"It's okay for collecting information and setting it up, but for business support, we don't get much from it."
"Currently, they only support one browser, and it would be good if you could use it on Chrome, Firefox, etc. It is a little frustrating that you can only use a certain Microsoft browser. They're pretty tightly aligned with Microsoft. So, I can see the reasons for it."
"There are longstanding challenges with OneStream XF, particularly around the technical aspects that require scripting skills, typically managed by finance departments."
"AI is where I see the most innovation and progress, but it's not fully developed yet."
"We should be able to download the data in the same format we upload it."
"The problem with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is that they use Essbase, causing the volume of data to increase rapidly."
"Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is definitely pretty old school and not as intuitive or user-friendly."
"On the cloud, additional security is required."
"Integration of AI, IoT, and RPA-based automation and prediction features with the solution will be a great plus. Oracle is continuously investing efforts in this direction and new features are being released on a continuous basis."
"The customer support for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has been somewhat inconsistent. For critical issues, the response is reasonably fast; however, for more complex configuration questions, we often get passed around before finding someone who really understands the product deeply."
"Using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has changed how my team works together and collaborates, though sometimes the interface feels unintuitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product has a license by the user. They're on par with other competitors."
"They price it by the user. Before discounting, it is 2,500 or something like that."
"The licensing is expensive."
"Its licensing covers support and maintenance infrastructure as well."
