Weekly insights and risk analysis facilitate informed security decisions
I appreciate the weekly insights Zafran provides, which include critical topics for networks and IT security, allowing us to evaluate which insights apply to our environment. The organization score feature is valuable to keep the leadership team updated on how our infrastructure fares security-wise. The applicable risk level versus base risk level feature is beneficial because prior to Zafran, we only used the base risk level, but now understand that risk depends on the asset itself. Zafran is an excellent tool.

Enhances remote access and integration with third-party tools
I use NinjaOne for managing smaller clients, specifically their devices and software, for small to medium businesses. I provide remote management services through NinjaOne. It allows clients to use NinjaOne for remote access to their computers for home office purposes. This feature is highly…

Tells us about vulnerabilities as well as their impact and helps to focus on real issues
Looking at all the different pieces, it has got everything we need. Some of the pieces we do not even use. For example, we do not have Kubernetes Security. We are not running any K8 clusters, so it is good for us. Overall, we find the solution to be fantastic. There can be additional education components. This may not be truly fair to them because of what the product is going for, but it would be great to see additional education for compliance. It is not a criticism of the tool per se, but anything to help non-development resources understand some of the complexities of the cloud is always appreciated. Any additional educational resources are always helpful for security teams, especially those without a development background.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We are able to see the real risk of a vulnerability on our environment with our security tools."
"Zafran has become an indispensable tool in our cybersecurity arsenal."
"Zafran is an excellent tool."
"NinjaOne's best feature is its monitoring."
"The software's automation tools have solved critical deployment problems for small businesses."
"The best feature of NinjaOne is the SLA system. Every IT person can check their performance, how long it takes to resolve an issue, and how many SLAs are breached."
"A significant feature of NinjaOne is its remote access capability, which is essential for my clients’ home office usage."
"The most valuable feature we have found currently is probably patch management."
"NinjaOne helps us view the status of software patching, whether the PC is locked or unlocked."
"NinjaOne is a great product. It is working and it is always developing."
"Good at managing updates and for remote support."
"We've seen a reduction in resources devoted to vulnerability monitoring. Before SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security we spent a lot of time monitoring and fixing these issues. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security enabled us to divert more resources to the production environment."
"We noted immediate benefits from using the solution."
"The visibility is the best part of the solution."
"We liked the search bar in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. It is a global search. We were able to get some insights from there."
"Singularity Cloud Native Security provides us with a platform to scan instances when they are getting created, and the dashboard helps us to identify the critical issues."
"It used to guide me about an alert. There is something called an alert guide. I used to click on the alert guide, and I could read everything. I could read about the alert and how to resolve it. I used to love that feature."
"The offensive security feature is valuable because it publicly detects the offensive and vulnerable things present in our domain or applications. It checks any applications with public access. Some of the applications give public access to certain files or are present over a particular domain. It detects and lets us know with evidence. That is quite good. It is protecting our infrastructure quite well."
"Cloud Native Security is user-friendly. Everything in the Cloud Native Security tool is straightforward, including detections, integration, reporting, etc. They are constantly improving their UI by adding plugins and other features."

Cons

"Initially, we were somewhat concerned about the scalability of Zafran due to our large asset count and the substantial amount of information we needed to process."
"The remote connectivity could be better. It works most of the time, but sometimes, there are issues."
"The ticketing system in NinjaOne is not the best."
"Improvements could be made to reduce NinjaOne's functionalities to focus more on inventory or remote help tools."
"I want NinjaOne to improve the reports."
"The NinjaOne distribution server is highly dependent on an active directory."
"I would like to see the software reduced to focus on inventory or remote help tools since many of its current functionalities are not needed."
"NinjaOne's dashboard could be easier to use."
"The graphical user interface could be improved."
"They can work on policies based on different compliance standards."
"The could improve their mean time to detect."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is an excellent CSPM tool, but its CWPP features need improvement, and there is scope for more application security posture management features."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security filtering has some areas that cause problems, and to achieve single sign-on functionality, a break-glass feature, which is currently unavailable, is necessary."
"It does not bring much threat intel from the outside world. All it does is scan. If it can also correlate things, it will be better."
"Crafting customized policies can be tricky."
"The application module focuses on the different codes and libraries that can be run on the machines. It is very important for Singularity EDR to detect what type of codes and what type of libraries can run in the machine. If they can implement a white list or a black list of codes or libraries that can be used in the machine, it would be very helpful. They can focus more on the application module."
"Implementing single sign-on requires a pre-class account feature, which is currently not available."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It roughly costs $400 a month. It provides a good value because of the number of tools that you get in the solution. I would rate it a four out of five in terms of pricing. There are no additional costs other than the standard licensing fees."
"We got a pretty good deal. It was fairly affordable."
"NinjaRMM uses a subscription model."
"NinjaOne is a little expensive but is still cheaper than competitors like Acronis or Veeam."
"Its pricing is great."
"I rate the solution’s pricing a five out of ten, where one is the lowest and ten is the most expensive."
"The product's pricing depends on the number of PCs or devices."
"We currently pay $1.20 per device on a monthly basis."
"Pricing is based on modules, which was ideal for us."
"We found it to be fine for us. Its price was competitive. It was something we were happy with. We are not a Fortune 500 company, so I do not know how pricing scales at the top end, but for our cloud environment, it works very well."
"The pricing tends to be high."
"The pricing is somewhat high compared to other market tools."
"Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
"SentinelOne offers excellent pricing and licensing options."
