We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to customize it to create custom fields that are reportable, and then to be able to write script behind it to automate other processes that might otherwise be manual is great.""NetSuite OneWorld is a single instance that allows you to do different business functions, such as reporting, order-to-cash, design-build, and procure-to-pay. This feature is what's most valuable in the solution.""The executive dashboards have satisfied the founders and leadership with up to the minute information. This allows them to make high level decisions.""We've set up Jira integration and used robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline various processes, like procurement and invoicing. Some processes still require manual approval, like supplier invoices, but we're simplifying those too. We're also exploring integrating with other tools like Power BI for better data analytics and reporting. Currently, our automation focuses on general tasks, not document understanding or anything complex like that.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier.""The solution has helped us save money by reducing the number of people needed for delivery, finance, and customer service. We now better understand our stock and purchases, and our sales team can access information without constantly communicating with delivery.""Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product."

"Odoo's setup phase is easy.""The most valuable features of Odoo are its customization and the fact that I can add modules whenever I want to the solution and the customization.""Odoo is highly scalable.""We find manufacturing and stock quite useful, as well as the CRM to be the most valuable features.""Odoo is widespread in a lot of different industries, and the most powerful feature of Odoo in the manufacturing industry is the forecast.""The versatility of Odoo is one of its most valuable features for business productivity. It offers modules for purchase, inventory, manufacturing, sales, help desk, timesheets, point of sale, email marketing, and more, which can greatly benefit businesses.""It's convenient that we have an all-in-one holistic solution.""With Odoo, being open source is advantageous because we have access to the source code for whatever we develop. This gives us the flexibility to make additions, deletions, or modifications according to our needs without any restrictions. There are no predefined formats that limit our customization options."

Cons
"Currently, NetSuite OneWorld needs to be more mature, especially compared to SAP.""There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin.""I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core.""Some entities are not available for multiple subsidiaries, which requires duplication.""I hope NetSuite OneWorld introduces features like support for different pricing models, including packaging options, and improved production planning tools in the future.""Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me.""Project collaboration through Dashboard Business Management and Relations Management is easy to perform, but it does need to be worked on as it is difficult for customers, suppliers, and internal users to use.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."

"Odoo provides their apps on mobile, but it is not good enough, especially for my clients.""Odoo could be better integrated with our warehouse management system.""They could add more features and details regarding the business details and some extra modules for business features.""Odoo could improve its newsletters and social media campaign features, which currently feel a bit weak.""There is room for improvement in Odoo, especially in enhancing its reporting capabilities.""The solution should improve its performance.""Odoo lacks a complete dashboard, and the reports are basic. The reporting could be improved by adding some graphics.""The range of choices and functionalities has space for enhancement."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
  • "Measure twice, cut once."
  • "Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
  • "Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
  • "NetSuite offers a great many advantages, including a cost of about third of the traditional pharma manufacturing ERP packages."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."

  • "It is very affordable for any type of business. And this is one of the main advantages of Odoo. Small businesses can subscribe and this is a very good feature."
  • "The cost is expensive but cheaper than some other competitors."
  • "Its pricing is well-received in Latin America. They sell by the user. In October 2022, they changed the way they sell Odoo. They commercialized Odoo. They now sell by the user. The cost of a user is $13.5 five per month for Latin America, which is lower than other ERPs."
  • "The price of the solution depends on the use case. However, it can be expensive and we are paying annually."
  • "Currently, we pay around 5000-6,000 USD per month, though I am not sure. We have to pay additionally for maintenance and support."
  • "Odoo is cheap compared to competitors."
  • "Odoo is an open-source tool. I don't have to pay for it."
  • "On a scale from one to ten, where one means high price, and ten means low price, I rate Odoo's pricing a five or six out of ten."
