Integration tools streamline financial operations and enhance data management
The most beneficial feature in Workato is its accessibility. The interface is easily understandable even for a common user, unlike the NetSuite ERP direct website which requires more technical knowledge. In Workato, NetSuite ERP provides options for new employee records, invoice reports, and batch files processing. The batch processing capability allows handling up to 10,000 records simultaneously, which reduces tasks and processing time significantly. Regarding scalability, NetSuite ERP offers excellent options and reduces manual interventions through automation. In the past three months, I have observed improvements in their options and data storage capabilities, showing enhanced scalability compared to previous versions.

Automation has streamlined complex billing and revenue while close times drop significantly
The best features Zuora offers include the automation, which is probably the best they have with the extensiveness of automation and the post-sale tasks that they are able to automate for people so that the close times take a lot less time. The automation helps my clients by ensuring that the billing, payment collection, and revenue recognition are all automated, so they are not having to take extensive time to reconcile billing and ensure payments are collected and make sure the revenue recognition rules are followed. That is all built into the system for them so that they can do that quickly and efficiently. The integration with Salesforce definitely helps streamline my clients' operations there as well as their ERP so that they are not worried about data migration missing the completeness and accuracy. It all integrates seamlessly. Zuora has definitely reduced the close time that it takes my clients to close the periods and it has also helped with their pricing models that they are able to make much more sophisticated and easy to follow within the system. It has reduced the close time by four days, down from a ten day close to a six day close.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature in NetSuite ERP is the user interface."
"No valuable quote could be determined from the review content."
"It is a cloud-based ERP tool with minimal downtime and it can be accessed from anywhere in the world."
"The product is very flexible and can adjust to the customer's needs."
"As NetSuite ERP is a cloud product, a valuable feature I found in it is the very friendly user interface. You can set up shortcuts within the applications for frequently used reports or navigation. You can also customize dashboards in NetSuite ERP. Another feature I found valuable in the solution is good reporting. It has many industry-standard reports focused on finance and inventory. I also like the seamless switching between production and test environments and that you can customize the environments within NetSuite ERP. For example, you can put banners on your test and production environments to differentiate or segregate the logins to prevent mistakes. The solution is pretty easy to use and navigate, and it's more of a lightweight software. I like that it's a cloud product, so work is done on the front end rather than the back end. There's also a community for NetSuite ERP where you can raise your queries and issues. You'll find other people sharing experiences about common issues so you can get quick fixes from the community."
"You should go for it. You won't regret it! This is the best solution."
"I am impressed with the product's ease of use. It also helps us reduce the techstack."
"NetSuite ERP is a user-friendly cloud-based solution that posts into the GL in real time. You can see your profitability at the order level."
"Currently, I feel Zuora is in a very good position, and I do not think there is a better alternative."
"The automation helps my clients by ensuring that the billing, payment collection, and revenue recognition are all automated, so they are not having to take extensive time to reconcile billing and ensure payments are collected and make sure the revenue recognition rules are followed."
"Zuora's payment platform includes several integrated components that ensure security, reliability, and efficiency with transactions."
"It's an end-to-end solution for managing subscriptions."
"What I like best about the tool is it's user-friendly, especially when checking accounts and subscriptions. You can see all the details, like consumer-created subscriptions, invoice details, and the ability to create and remove rate plans."
"These features are valuable because it has allowed the billing functionality to be fully operationalized. This allows us to refocus our energy on optimizing our recurring revenue streams outside of just basic billing."
"The tool's most valuable aspect is its evolution. When I first worked on it, it was a simple platform that handled accounts and basic invoicing. Over the years, I've seen many changes that have enabled it to support complex projects. The help desk now provides solutions for these projects, which wasn't initially possible. The most important thing about Zuora is its ability to handle complexity through workflows, essentially automating the invoicing process."
"Zuora Workflow is valuable."

Cons

"The solution is not user-friendly and it is complex to use."
"NetSuite ERP's UI could be improved. There are some features that are very complex that do not have to be. There are some aspects of the solution that could be simplified and this can include the documentation. Since it's a very complex tool, you expect to have great detailed documentation to help you implement it."
"What needs to be improved is the development in the other areas and other businesses that can use NetSuite, but it's rapidly coming about."
"Technical support is very weak. That's because, once again, they've hired a bunch of kids."
"The NetSuite fixed asset module needs to be worked on."
"Many features such as local taxation and fund management are not there yet."
"The manufacturing and planning side could be improved. That part isn't up to date. NetSuite could be easier to integrate in general."
"The solution's initial setup process was complex."
"Unlike Zoho, the main page doesn't contain everything. You have to click a button to reveal multiple options; even within those, there are further layers of options to navigate through."
"Zuora's documentation from the knowledge center is somewhat complicated and should be simplified for beginner-level users who are ready to learn."
"While fetching the data, I had faced some issues."
"When we raise global support tickets, we receive delayed responses."
"Zuora is stable, but we have observed some latency issues quarterly."
"There are a few areas for improvement. Some APIs aren't working in amendment-based subscriptions."
"The documentation that has been provided exists, but it is not particularly useful."
"Some areas that could be improved include the API rate limit."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is less than the cost of daily hours."
"It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."
"When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
"There is an annual license required to use this solution."
"NetSuite ERP has a cost per module you want to use, and then you have the license per user."
"It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
"Regarding costs, it's not just about licensing. Customization recurring costs can become expensive over five to eight years, especially with new releases. However, NetSuite ERP integrates well with third-party applications, so it can still be used for finance while another ERP is used for localized production."
"I would advise that you first meet with and scope out your project with a NetSuite VAR (Value Added Reseller)."
"Explore multiple options for implementation."
"The solution is worth the price."
"The tiered pricing model is costly."
"Negotiate aggressively. Continue to push on cost until you feel comfortable."
