I've evaluated Splunk and IBM Q1 but LogLogic is the best choice for log management. SIEM functionality needs improvement.
If you are searching for log management solution, LogLogic is probably the best choice. The SIEM functionality is not at that level, and I suggest instead to choose another SIEM solution (eg: IBM Q1). In my experience, a good practice is to separate log management from SIEM in a way that they are two separate systems.

A solid SIEM solution that should improve technical support and online resources to be easier to use
A big problem with the product is that we don't have much professional experience in Israel installing, implementing, and integrating this product. There is not enough of a knowledge base. There is no support for this product in this country, so problems have to be resolved through global technical teams. We like to work locally because of the language, and when the product is only supported outside the country, it's a little difficult to implement and use this product. Moreover, AI is something that must be added immediately. Artificial intelligence is a part of the competitors' products, and it's not been implemented for us.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Having logs in a central location helps with troubleshooting, forensic investigations, and legal investigations."
"If you are searching for log management solution, LogLogic is probably the best choice."
"In my opinion, the solution's most valuable feature is its capacity to monitor network traffic, logs from devices within the network, and network captures. This capability extends beyond logs to include full network capturing."
"It gives customers visibility about their most important servers and devices."
"Their technical support responds quickly and are knowledgable."
"The most valuable features are its ingestion of logs and raising of alerts based on those logs."
"Over time, NetWitness Logs and Packets has matured from a boxed solution with multiple parts to the current, more streamlined version for which we only need the software license to put it up on our own cloud and deliver it to multiple clients."
"The product has a user-friendly interface and a valuable feature for threat intelligence integration."
"It gives the ability to investigate into network traffic in the Net and the organization what we couldn't do before."
"It's quite economical compared to other solutions in the market."

Cons

"Definitely SIEM – other vendors have gone a lot further in developing SIEM functionality and made a lot more in this area."
"Customer Service: On a scale of 1-5, 0. They say the right things but don't deliver when it counts."
"The system architecture is complex and sometimes it’s hard to troubleshoot potential problems."
"I cannot say that the solution was stable because it tended to crash."
"Lots of competing products have vulnerability protection built into their products, and this solution would be improved by including that support."
"RSA NetWitness Logs and Packets can improve the threat level aspect, it is lacking compared to other solutions."
"It is overly complicated. It has taken years to implement and the return on investment just isn't there."
"Security needs improvement."
"We have encountered issues with unresolved crashes."
"The system looks like it is a mix of a bunch of different systems, and nothing looked like it was quite together."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Our license is for one year."
"The tool is very expensive, so I rate the pricing a ten out of ten. The solution has an annual subscription."
"It is cheap."
"We have yearly licensing costs. The license fee can be based on the volume of EPS. Some organizations may have, as a gentlemanly gesture, 10,000 EPS and get a 3,000 EPS license but actually use 5,000 EPS."
"It provides tools to assist in selecting the appropriate license and usage scenarios."
"The NetWitness Platform may be affordable only for enterprise-level customers, as it may not be within the budget of small and medium-sized businesses."
"There is a licensing fee and the customer can choose whether he wishes this to be subscription-based or perpetual."
"The product price was reasonable for my region and the market."
