Standardized artifact workflows have boosted collaboration and saved significant delivery time
The best features that JFrog Artifactory offers are that you can have all kinds of artifacts, supporting many different ones such as Docker images, Helm charts, and different binaries from different software languages. It has versioning that you can use, proxying as well that you can use as a mirror proxy, and there is also nice access control around it, so you can limit who has access to which parts of your JFrog Artifactory tree. Regarding access control and proxying, those features help my team by making it easy to provide read access to many different teams for different artifact repositories, which works really nicely when you have many teams requiring the same package but then have one team that is actually the developer of that package or artifact. In terms of the proxy, you can use it as a mirror proxy so that all your pulls for an image can go through JFrog Artifactory before they reach Docker or something, adding an extra layer of security in the company. JFrog Artifactory has impacted my organization positively by helping us have a standard artifact management solution, so everybody is aligned, allowing us to use the same best practices and same documentation, making it easy to implement in many different pipelines. Having a standard solution such as JFrog Artifactory has affected productivity and collaboration positively. Documentation is available for everybody that is using it, so my team, as clients to JFrog Artifactory, finds it easy to pull the documentation and implement it in our pipelines or for whatever needs we have related to JFrog Artifactory, which eases up collaboration by providing a single way of doing package management.

Has accelerated AI solution development through automated evaluation and fine-tuning
Prem Studio allowed me to easily automate and solve the complicated problem of exploring and identifying the best AI architecture for our problems. Prem Studio has a straightforward yet powerful approach to evaluate disparate AI architectures on our business problems and to accurately fine-tune the most promising ones. This significantly reduced time-to-market, almost by a factor of ten in my case, for solutions tailored and optimized for customer requirements and KPIs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"JFrog Artifactory has positively impacted my organization by centralizing artifact management and improving consistency across builds."
"As for specific outcomes about the positive impact from expanding to four or five verticals, we have achieved faster deployment speeds, faster time to market, and lower pipeline failure rates."
"JFrog Artifactory has helped us scale faster and is a highly available, robust artifact repository that boosts our confidence in production."
"JFrog Artifactory has definitely impacted our organization in a positive manner, as approximately 20,000 people or 20,000 pipelines use it on a day-to-day basis and most of the time it saves time because it is very fast, with tools, services, and features that are really brilliant and no other tool can match."
"The feature that I like is Permission Targets. If I want to give permission to only deploy the cache, I can give that permission to a set of users. Similarly, if I want to overwrite an artifact with the same name from the same pipeline, I can give permission for that as well to particular users."
"I think JFrog Artifactory is good whether we use it for small scale or large scale operations."
"The package registries have been helpful. GitLab, our previous solution, wasn't managing that well."
"JFrog Artifactory proved very helpful in supporting a variety of package types for different projects."
"The dataset management feature and the managed finetuning are the most valuable because they save the most time."
"Prem Studio allowed me to easily automate and solve the complicated problem of exploring and identifying the best AI architecture for our problems."

Cons

"In some of the latest versions of JFrog's SaaS solution, they changed the user interface, the SSO settings, how you interact with them over API, and how you generate tokens. It was very confusing for me. The overall user management is very complicated."
"JFrog could improve this product with tighter integration capabilities."
"I choose a nine out of ten because, as mentioned in my previous answer, it sometimes faces performance issues due to slow repository response and long download times for artifacts, which affects overall performance."
"The complexity of managing the tool and the high cost prevent it from being a ten, especially considering there are cloud-native alternatives that are cheaper and easier to use."
"The latest version that I am using is 7.41. It has been upgraded graphics-wise, but there is a bit of slowness. They can improve the graphical interface for the admin jobs and make it faster."
"Although JQL is a great tool, I have noticed that JQL queries can be hard to learn."
"The documentation is a bit sparse. That's our only complaint."
"Maybe around user experience, I think one improvement could be the UX, which shows its age, as it has not changed for a bit, but other than that, it is fine."
"The inference should be faster."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a bit expensive. It could be a little bit lower or have an a la carte option because, in our case, we had to go to the next version of Enterprise X because we needed one feature, which was more than three projects. We don't need all the other capabilities, but we're paying for all those. It's almost twice the cost of the previous version. So, it would be nice to have something along those lines."
"I am not aware of its cost, but it is worth investing in this. My guess is that its price is not much because we generally prefer open-source solutions, and if we are investing, we don't go for expensive ones. Our selection is based on the market demand and needs, and we invest only if something is worth the cost."
