Cloud gateway has strengthened remote web security and now needs better Mac and ISP support
The problem our organization had is that iboss failed for the Mac devices. It is not able to give a successful agent for the Mac agents. That is where in 2025, we had to migrate to the Palo Alto-based platform. If your use case is for just Windows laptops, you can consider this platform as an option One issue is the data center resiliency part. In India especially, they are not tied up with the Tier 1 ISPs like Tata or Airtel; they were having Tier 2 ISPs and encountered many issues reaching few major sites that my organization depends on, and they were having problems that they could not fix quickly. They also lack a mechanism to route that traffic within their data center; rather, they ask customers to make a pac file change to route it to Singapore explicitly. It would be better if they route from their backend , i mean even if I send it to India DC, they should be able to route it internally to make that work; however, they fail to do that and ask the customer to route it in the pac file. Another suggestion is that in China, they do not have the proper setup; they used to have numerous problems with slowness and lack of premium circuits in China as well. That leads to multiple sites working slowly with latency-related issues. So the main issue is the ISP-related problems that need to be solved.

Centralized cloud access has strengthened identity control and simplified keyless logins
The best feature of CyberArk Secure Cloud Access is that private keys can be configured once and users can log in using CyberArk credentials. Instead of providing the private key every time into the system, it is not needed. With CyberArk, we do not require it and can directly use CyberArk credentials to access the virtual machines or run the pipelines. Using CyberArk credentials instead of private keys has made things easier for our team because previously every user had to remember the private key and store it somewhere else and insert it whenever they attempted to log into the server. This was cumbersome. Instead, organizations use CyberArk to configure the private keys, which helps because it is no longer required for users to store it on their system or somewhere else to maintain security. This additionally prevents users without access to the server from logging in. This feature of CyberArk Secure Cloud Access also reduces time and dependency on other people. Once a user is given access, they can be tracked anytime and anywhere. Access is revocable whenever people leave the organization. CyberArk Secure Cloud Access has positively impacted our organization because we have observed many changes. One significant impact is that since implementing it, the dependency on people has drastically been reduced. Additionally, we do not need to log in or store the private keys every time as they can be automatically configured.

Centralized access control has strengthened least privilege and streamlined audit compliance
The best features Veza offers in my experience are access visibility to see who can access what and which parts, relationship mapping of a user to roles, policies and resources, and risk detection such as over-permission and unused permission privileges. I can perform audit compliance using those features and the platform supports multiple platforms. Out of those features, I find risk detection to be the most valuable in my day-to-day work because I can check who has over-permission or unused permissions and understand relationship mapping and access visibility. Veza has positively impacted my organization by improving access for our users, allowing us to check the user and perform auditing for our system or organization. We are now able to implement least privilege practices, which has made our organization and system more secure.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The security aspect of the solution, particularly the malware behind it, is excellent."
"The iboss solution gives me the ability to scan the traffic through all the ports, through all the 131,000 PCP and UDP ports, and with this ability, we have the granularity also for consults over social media and applications on mobile, and this is an advantage that the customers are looking for right now."
"Iboss is a solution that prevents advanced persistent threats, and has a zero tolerance for attacks."
"Because of iboss, I did not have to assign web filtering tasks to my techs on a daily basis."
"As I mentioned, the return on investment is significant, as it saved our office locations' bandwidth because when you are working remotely at home, your internet traffic routes directly to iboss and will not go to your office building, saving bandwidth bottlenecks and ensuring that issues with our building internet circuits will not impact your internet connectivity because you are directly going to the iboss data center."
"Technical support is pretty sharp and very responsive."
"It was a very easy product to install. It can be deployed very fast."
"I would say iboss is a very good product; its scalability is very good, and it's seamless for the user."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access has positively impacted my organization by reducing attack surfaces and improving compliance; it has helped us with ISO, SOC 2, and PCI DSS requirements."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access is a good product that is well positioned in the market as an enhancement that provides new possibilities beyond the classical PAM solution, for which CyberArk is most recognizable with its classical on-premises PAM."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access offers unmatched security features, essential for critical sectors like finance and banking."
"Access control has improved by more than 20% with CyberArk Secure Cloud Access, and with over 1,100 users utilizing this solution, I have eliminated the need for RDP access, ensuring that users can only access servers with the proper multi-factor authentication and manager approval, achieving complete coverage and reducing the risk of breaches."
"We have reduced approximately 70 to 75 percent of our time when accessing resources through CyberArk Secure Cloud Access, and the productivity has significantly increased with respect to CyberArk Secure Cloud Access."
"The use of dynamic role-based access controls enhances our organization's cloud security as it is part of the controls that we require to meet our TFL obligations."
"In CyberArk Secure Cloud Access, I find the central point where it is easy to access and easy to configure most valuable."
"We were partners and a Tier 1 partner with CyberArk Secure Cloud Access, so the support was very high."
"Veza has positively impacted my organization by improving access for our users, allowing us to check the user and perform auditing for our system or organization, and we are now able to implement least privilege practices, which has made our organization and system more secure."
"It's the only current GRC vendor with licensing rights for HITRUST 11.3 framework, and I've avoided expensive HITRUST licensing costs through a custom control framework."

Cons

"Fold that in with the risk intelligence they're getting from all of the different subscriptions they are a part of. Now, these security companies subscribe to things like emerging threats, databases, etc. You can fold all this intelligence to decide what's happening on an endpoint. I would love to see them start moving into that space. That would compete directly with Microsoft. Maybe that's why they haven't. Having that ability native within the solution would be great. The other area in which I would love to see improvement is more detailed descriptions of why they block websites."
"The solution could be stronger on the integration side and offer more cloud applications like G Suite or Oracle."
"I have heard they are doing DDoS filtering, but I am not certain if they are implementing it correctly."
"SSL decryption: We had issues with learners using apps instead of using web browsers. This type of encryption is tough for any appliance in a BYOD environment."
"File integrity monitoring would be very advantageous as an additional feature."
"To scale up, a new iboss Node Blade Chassis must be purchased."
"iboss can be improved because the integration could be better; you need to import all the sites that you access today, and there are a few problems whenever you import thousands of websites, making the integration process messy for the users."
"Regarding pricing, setup costs, and licensing, iboss is not cheap, and that's my only concern."
"Regarding user experience, the dashboard looks somewhat outdated. I think it needs improvement in terms of interface and visual appeal to enhance user experience and make it more attractive."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access provides a solid foundation overall, but the UI/UX might be challenging for less tech-savvy individuals."
"The efficacy of the solution is more or less specific to particular use cases rather than generic use cases."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access involves substantial effort when performing on-premises deployments."
"There are several areas where CyberArk Secure Cloud Access could improve, such as the integration with enterprise IT ecosystems, including cloud platforms, SIEM tools, ITSM solutions, MFA systems, and DevOps platforms."
"The customization of CyberArk Secure Cloud Access could be improved because I found scenarios where I could not provide the correct configuration due to insufficient options available."
"CyberArk Secure Cloud Access can be improved as there is initial complexity and it is somewhat expensive."
"I find the pricing definitely expensive, and it is something that we are debating as to whether we will continue longer term with CyberArk, but at the moment, it is the platform that is there and it is being rolled out to meet our TFL obligations, so it will continue, but there is significant discussion around the cost of the licenses."
"Veza can be improved as it is currently not suitable for small projects due to its high cost, complex setup, and requirement for more integration with multiple systems."
"The support experience could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not expensive, and it is also not cheap. iboss is priced right in the sweet spot for the number of features it offers."
"The overall pricing for iboss is very competitive and transparent."
"It is probably in line with other solutions, but I do not deal with the financial side."
"It is expensive compared to one of its competitors."
"We had the cost of purchasing a new appliance along with the implementation and licensing costs. However, the following year, the cost of just licensing was similar to what was paid the previous year for a new appliance along with the implementation and licensing costs."
"We have not priced the solution recently, but they were competitive with other vendors in the past."
