Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Provides the strongest support for automation.""We get templates, so it's speed to delivery for us. It's a big difference with the template features.""The stability is very good. I have never had an issue with it over the three years that I have been using it.""We could literally swap out a piece of hardware, slide one back into the chassis, and immediately - about three reboots later - it was identical. We didn't have to worry about configuring it, we didn't have to spend any time getting anything into place. It came back and it healed the environment almost immediately.""It is very stable. We have had no downtime nor issues in approximately a year. ""The most valuable features of HPE OneView are environment monitoring, the ease of firmware upgrade, and the ability to manage all the servers and the infrastructure from one team.""We also have the 3PAR and the GUI is almost the same. So the recognition is very good.""Firmware compliance is one of the most valuable features."

"Reporting on NetCrunch is pretty good. It's very similar to SolarWinds. It's just a different interface. The majority of everything there was beneficial."

Cons
"They can improve reporting and provide more customized reports. Currently, reporting is a bit limited. It can be complex to learn and manage for beginners. Because of my experience, I find it comfortable to manage, which might not be the case with beginners. It would be good if they can make it a little bit easier to understand. They can provide a more graphical view of connectivity and other things. Their technical support can also be improved.""Technical support is not very good. The engineers do not know a lot about the product, even when asked simplistic questions.""We've had a few issues. We just upgraded to the 3.9.0 version. We think that now that we are on that version, hopefully a lot of those things are going to go away for us.""It would be better if we can add every HPE device to OneView, such as MSA, as well as the other servers like the DL server and ML server.""Does not allow for switch configuration other than through OneView.""The solution's console can be improved by making it more user-friendly and adding the capability to filter the reports out using only the information required.""Integration could be improved. Sometimes OneView doesn't identify physical hardware.""The interface is a bit bland. It does its job, but it could have a better interface."

  • "Synergy does not require iLO licenses but servers and enclosures must be purchased."
  • "This license cost for OneView was $3,000 USD."
