Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We have the dashboard up on a big screen, and you can actually see when things go wrong or if there are any faults with any of the servers. The backup is automated as well, so the appliance is quite good.""The stability is very good. I have never had an issue with it over the three years that I have been using it.""The hypervisor and cluster profiles make it easy to integrate with VMware.""The remote support automatically logs service calls and support cases with HPE, which is really good.""The most valuable features of HPE OneView are environment monitoring, the ease of firmware upgrade, and the ability to manage all the servers and the infrastructure from one team.""The easy user interface was what I found most valuable in HPE OneView. For example, if I wanted to know the infrastructure status or I needed to send in any change commands, HPE OneView had simple buttons.""We could literally swap out a piece of hardware, slide one back into the chassis, and immediately - about three reboots later - it was identical. We didn't have to worry about configuring it, we didn't have to spend any time getting anything into place. It came back and it healed the environment almost immediately.""Gives us one platform to monitor and access or configure all the servers or the 3PAR, etc."

"Our customer was happiest with the price of this product.""The most valuable feature is the deployment because it's very easy to deploy real flow through the network.""It empowers network administrators to access specialized and detailed views for specific tests, including video streaming and performance related to specific applications like video games.""The ease of setup is the most valuable aspect of this solution. It's easy to set up and run tests."

Cons
"The solution's console can be improved by making it more user-friendly and adding the capability to filter the reports out using only the information required.""Use it, but do not think it is going into the clouds, because it is not. There is room for improvement.""I would like to see support for things that aren't in the current generation. We have a lot of 7th and 8th generation hardware.""Specifically, it would be great if we had the ability to reapply the server profile faster.""We've had issues, for example, with RAM.""We ran into a couple of issues here and there with the baselines for the firmware and not having enough space on the appliance itself to be able to have more than two baselines.""I saw, maybe three years ago or two years ago here, or in Barcelona, at the HPE Discover conference, a feature that you can update Clusterware with VMware. But the feature is still not live in production. Currently, you have to do all the firmware updates and then you have to do the VMware updates. So you have two reboots and it would be better if it was just one.""HPE OneView should be able to cover more device models apart from ProLiant and Synergy."

More HPE OneView Cons →

"Ixia has one flaw, which is that they do not print the license code on the paper licenses that are shipped to the customers.""Improvements in network performance are essential.""The customization of tests and even the results can be improved.""You can't delete more than one thing at a time. It would be great to be able to highlight three out of five things and delete them, whether it's a test or an actual report."
