Featured Reviews

Steve Abshire - PeerSpot reviewer
It features low latency, which is crucial because everybody is using VPN to connect to their PCs at work.
Using GoToMeeting in a meeting-sized conference room is kind of a letdown. The camera is supposed to track the speaker and focus on that person so that they can be on the screen. That feature rarely worked. We tested it thoroughly, so maybe it was an issue with the size of the conference room. It may not be suitable for large conference rooms.
Bryant Carthan - PeerSpot reviewer
It integrates well with our learning management system, but the break-out rooms are a little rough around the edges
There are definitely times when the sound becomes a bit unclear, and latency is also an issue. If there are too many people on video simultaneously, the whole system can slow down. The group breakout rooms are still somewhat rough around the edges. I would like to see them improve that feature so we can have more interaction in our classes.

Pros

"The key advantage of GoToMeeting is the ability to use it without installing anything."
"The most valuable feature is the dial-in capability."
"I like GoToMeeting because it is lighter than other solutions, such as Webex."
"GoToMeeting's security is very good. I've never known anybody to crash a GoToMeeting."
"It's easy to set up."
"Even for somebody who does not have a lot of experience, they can easily use it."
"Pricing is reasonable. It's not expensive. The pricing is one of the great selling points for the product."
"Reduced the need for physically commuting between offices."
"During meetings, the feature of closed captioning, scripting, and recording was convenient for keeping minutes and making available the information discussed to review meeting minutes. Also to keep track of all the agreements and discussions during those meetings. It worked well with our email systems and other communication services integrated into the functionalities."
"Webex Meeting's most valuable features are screen-sharing and remote access."
"It made it simple for users to join, work together, and share screens."
"The most valuable features for me are its stable connection, user-friendly interface, and screen-sharing files. Cisco's support is also very valuable."
"Installation was straightforward."
"We appreciate how Webex integrates with our system. When an employee completes a course, Webex documents it and updates the employee's training records."

Cons

"I didn't like the fact that they tried to make their new version look like Zoom."
"Poor error recovery, too sensitive to transmission errors. Needs better codecs and more robust system software that can handle network glitches."
"It is not so stable."
"Sometimes we'll run into issues where firewall rules aren't set correctly and won't work."
"The newer user interface takes a bit longer to get used to."
"Lacks ease of connectivity, calendar integrations, and third-party app integrations."
"The enrolment for a non-IT user should be easier. It should be simplified for non-IT users."
"The product itself doesn't stand out against other options on the market."
"Webex Meetings could be improved with more collaborative features and an archive of information like appointments and discussions that can be shared with everybody."
"There are definitely times when the sound becomes a bit unclear, and latency is also an issue. If there are too many people on video simultaneously, the whole system can slow down. The group breakout rooms are still somewhat rough around the edges. I would like to see them improve that feature so we can have more interaction in our classes."
"The features I think can be improved are integrations with third-parties; for example, Microsoft 360 and other shared folders."
"It would be nice if there were more integrations available."
"It could be more secure."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"GoToMeeting is a little bit expensive compared to other products."
"It is a little expensive although now, with the competition from Zoom and other products, they have lowered their prices and it is better."
"Negotiate for discounts."
"Pricing is very competitive because it didn't change much since they were already in the market when other players came in."
