Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Built faster threat response and improved visibility with real-time monitoring and flexible deployment
TrendAI Vision One allows us to monitor attacks in real time, which is a significant benefit. We can quickly see where the attack is coming from. TrendAI Vision One enables us to use different products with a flexible license. For example, if a customer is using endpoint security and wants to switch to another solution, they can instantly use a different Trend Micro product, such as email. TrendAI Vision One has helped to reduce the time to detect and respond to different threats, as it can respond to attacks very quickly. With playbook templates, in cases of recurring attacks, responses can be made quickly using predefined playbooks. TrendAI Vision One has helped to reduce noise from false positives. There have been false positives before, but it was due to the customer not telling us which app they were using. Best practice configurations must be applied properly to avoid such issues. TrendAI Vision One helps customers consolidate the use of security vendors and reduce silos by offering one platform for all product management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is a new generation XDR that has a lot of artificial intelligence modules."
"I like that the product has behavior-based detection which offers many benefits over signature-based detection."
"The user interface of the solution is sophisticated and straightforward."
"Has great threat detection capabilities."
"Since they've done their most recent update, the ease to isolate endpoints is valuable. If we find one where there is a virus on it, we can easily isolate it. We don't even have to contact the user. We don't have to manually take them off the network. We can easily isolate them."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks should be a stable solution."
"The solution allows control over the user and his machine through Cortex XDR security policies."
"If you are looking for security, mainly for advanced threat prevention from ransomware and malware attacks, I would recommend Cortex."
"The most valuable feature of FortiXDR is its ability to block clients, providing comprehensive endpoint protection."
"The most valuable feature of FortiXDR is it integrates well with other Fortinet solutions, such as Fortinet firewall, FortiMail, FortiSandbox, Forti Fabric, switches, and access points. Whatever the flow of the traffic comes in or goes out, the entire traffic can be managed and monitored properly."
"The product is stable enough."
"Our customers are satisfied with FortiXDR."
"FortiXDR is valuable for its integration capabilities with one hundred percent compatibility with other vendors in cloud environments like Google, Oracle, and Microsoft."
"TrendAI Vision One solves these problems by providing greater detection capabilities and automated response across all of these layers."
"Trend Vision One has improved the way our organization functions by acting as both a monitoring tool and an antivirus, giving us insight on potential threats and enhancing our response time to security incidents."
"ROI is absolutely achievable, especially with TrendAI Vision One and server TrendAI Vision One platform."
"By switching to TrendAI Vision One, I have reduced my risk by approximately eighty percent."
"TrendAI Vision One allows us to monitor attacks in real time, which is a significant benefit, and we can quickly see where the attack is coming from."
"TrendAI Vision One provides comprehensive insight into user behavior, dark web login monitoring, and open vulnerabilities, allowing us to see everything from a single platform, which simplifies security operations and reduces complexity."
"We had a quick deployment. The solution is easy to set up."
"TrendAI Vision One positively impacts my organization by providing a budget-friendly solution for security products."

Cons

"There are some false positives. What our guys would have liked is that it would have been easier to manipulate as soon as they found a false positive that they knew was a false positive. How to do so was not obvious. Some people complained about it. The interface, the ESM, is not user-friendly."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks could improve its user interface, which is more complicated compared to competitors such as SentinelOne."
"It is an enterprise-level solution. Its price could be less expensive."
"It is not a suitable solution if you are looking for a single product with multiple features such as DLP, encryption, rollback, etc."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is not only pricey; it is extremely expensive."
"A better pricing plan would make this product more competitive."
"The encryption is not up to the mark."
"One thing that was missing was the integration part. Currently, they don't have out-of-box integration with IBM QRadar, or if they have the integration, the integration doesn't work well."
"They could change their licensing costs to make it more affordable for smaller businesses."
"Improvement is needed in the intuitiveness and integration measures of FortiXDR, especially in terms of compatibility."
"Many of the solutions, such as CrowdStrike have an MDR solution where remediation can be provided by the vendor. For example, if there is any zero data threat found, a new threat that the customer is not able to recognize, fix, or understand what needs to be done this feature has to be added in FortiXDR so that the customer feels comfortable."
"The pricing of FortiXDR should be improved. It's a point of concern for us."
"Areas that need improvement in TrendAI Vision One include the AI-based mechanism, AI-based detections, and AI-based autonomous detections, which are currently lacking."
"The SOAR features (Security Playbooks) are quite limited."
"It is costly. It is not that affordable for a small organization."
"The integration with third-party tools and with on-premises Active Directory needs improvement."
"I do see room for improvement and weaknesses in TrendAI Vision One."
"Alert noise and false positives are areas that should be improved. The initial deployment generates too many alerts, so we need better AI filtering and more accurate prioritization."
"The area for improvement is to provide more clarity on the query part, including examples for creating reference sets and documenting capabilities thoroughly so future users can benefit without needing to experiment."
"Trend Vision One has some usability issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is moderate."
"If one wishes to work with another team or large number of users at a future point, he must purchase a license for them."
"In terms of the cost Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very expensive because we are a Mexican company and when you translate dollars to pesos the cost is very high. The solution is very expensive for Mexican companies. I understand that they have international prices, but I do not think it offsets the price enough for many companies in countries, such as Mexico. The amount it is reduced is not a massive percentage."
"It is present, but when compared to other competitive products, I would say it is not less expensive; however, when all of the other added values are considered, the price is reasonable."
"Its pricing is kind of in line with its competitors and everybody else out there."
"Every customer has to pay for a license because it doesn't work with what you get from a managed services provider."
"The price of the solution could be reduced. I have customers that have voiced that the solution is good for the value but if I want to sell more of the solution the price reduction would help."
"The solution is expensive. It's pricing is on a yearly-basis."
"This is an expensive solution compared to other vendors, such as Check Point."
"Trend Micro recently switched from a license-based pricing model to a credit system, which caused some initial frustration during my renewal."
"It is costly. It is not that affordable for a small organization. Only big organizations can afford it. It is a new feature that has been added, so its price is fair. Its licensing is probably subscription-based. It is for one or two years."
"The pricing of the solution is okay. There is a need for me to look into the new pricing plan introduced by the solution recently."
"The pricing is competitive, and the cost aligns with the features we receive."
"Trend Micro's licensing is outsourced to third-party vendors, resulting in price variations depending on the vendor."
"We have an annual subscription and I believe there is no option for monthly billing at the moment."
"I feel that Vision One is a bit expensive. As for the pricing or licensing, I would rate it a seven out of ten."
"Vision One's pricing is extremely competitive. They're probably the lowest-cost provider that has this feature set."
