Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product helps our organization to access sites located in different regions quickly.""Compute@Edge features are valuable to me.""Its initial setup process is straightforward.""Support is good; the product works as advertised. We have a Slack connection with them. So we can basically ask for help, live, engage, and ring when they respond. Very quickly.""Fastly uses configuration versioning, where you can deploy a new version in less than one minute.""Rate limiting is a good feature that protects from volumetric attacks."

"I have recently been looking at the SSL certificate features and the learning mode of the appliance. This appliance learns from the pattern of SSL attacks.""The anti-defacement feature is very useful because it looks for web changes over time to protect pages.""The most valuable features are support and security.""If I need something from tech support, I can get it answered within the hour.""The policies and the filtering are the most valuable features, especially traffic, URL, and application filtering. The solution is excellent at detecting vulnerabilities.""The customers are very happy with this solution because of two things. First, the IPS integration with a web application is very tightly done on Fortinet. Second, the ease of use is there. The management interface or the GUI interface is very easy to use, configure, and manage. These are the two main valuable features. It supports integration with other Fortinet products. It also integrates very well with the firewall and sandboxing technology. They already have enough integration with different technologies. They have got a complete tech intelligence view of the whole product.""Security Fabric integration. This is really a value-added feature as FortiWeb can interact with the rest of the client’s Fortinet pack to provide an intelligent security layer like (FortiSIEM for central log management and correlation, FortiGate, FortiSandbox for malware analysis, etc.).""The most important feature of this solution is protection from attack."

Cons
"Stronger analytics would be helpful, like showing configurations that haven't served a certain amount of traffic in a while. With many properties, things can get lost track of - duplicates or unused configurations not properly decommissioned.""The product should provide improved bot detection and management.""Fastly's customer service area needs improvement.""The solution's pricing could be better.""It is missing a "staging" platform to deploy a test configuration with all of the real settings, which would allow us to properly test before putting it into production.""Support is not that great."

"When we look at the incident reports in the dashboard, they are available for a maximum duration of 24 hours. They should provide more time for the analysis and increase the duration of the availability of these reports. Currently, it gives the options for 5 minutes, 1 hour, and 24 hours. It would be excellent if there are more options for a longer time period. It may be configurable, but I don't know how to do it.""F5 and some other firewalls are easier to customize. FortiWeb could be more flexible and customizable. The documentation could also be improved because many of the advanced features aren't fully documented.""Centralized management of multiple devices, and GUI improvement, could reduce the learning curve.""The dashboards are not that configurable. Application-specific dashboards can be improved. If we have 50 applications, there should be something to see what's happening with these 50 applications. There could be a graph or a consolidated alert page where all alerts are inbuilt. They have other products that I can use, but this feature should be built into FortiWeb.""The product's scalability could be better.""It can be better with web application firewalls.""The solution could have more customization.""In terms of performance, it needs to be more robust."
