Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has helped us by reducing the number of incidents that we have had in the past.""The technical support has always been responsive.""It is a product that helps developers, testers, and operations to make sure their applications work quickly and reliably.""It can give a quick overview of the current health status, end to end, and can quickly point to the root cause if there an issue or problem in one of our applications.""Real time monitoring helps reduce downtime. It saves a lot of time in determining what is the likely cause of an issue an end user may be experiencing.""They have a feature that allows you to monitor the user, and we are able to create a VIP customer.""Dynatrace has an auto-baseline and uses AI to monitor the performance of each API. The response time is related to the baseline.""RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and the PurePaths, where you can see the stack trace, are helpful in finding problems."

"Logsign provides sample logs within the product, allowing users to see how logs will appear before integration, which is a valuable feature for testing and understanding log formats."

Cons
"They're doing vulnerability assessments of the application stack by using OneAgent. It's a never-ending story if you are trying to be sure your application is also secure.""I would like to see dashboards included, and maybe more possibilities in terms of customization.""There is another challenge, which is in case of the Managed solution. In our old solution we could simply export the data as session data, and that would be imported and seen. Now, if we are using the Managed solution, then giving someone access to that solution is a challenge. We can handle it, but it's different than taking screenshots and saving that information the way we used to. The copy/paste features that were there in old application - because it was a fat app - were nice, compared to browser-based app, because you cannot really use those features anymore.""Whenever there is a new version the UI changes, it makes it hard to use, because we are accustomed to the old one.""I was hands on in the setup of the solution. Initially, it seemed a little daunting.""I would like Dynatrace to be more flexible and user-friendly.""In the new Dynatrace solution, support for legacy applications is still not there. ""We found it was quite challenging in terms of the learning curve."

"I hope they address the pricing model for Logsign Next-Gen SIEM, especially regarding regional variations. The pricing should not differ based on the country of operation as it can lead to dissatisfaction among customers. A fixed pricing structure would be more favorable for us. I would also suggest enhancing the GUI interface and adding features similar to xFi Exchange from IBM Pure. This would streamline operations and save time for analysts."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is based on the number of servers monitored, so for big applications, it is a bit expensive."
  • "Licensing is a bit complicated for Dynatrace, and pricing is dependent on how much your organization invests."
  • "We found an issue within the first week of ownership that has been costing us more than the entire license cost."
  • "Product pricing can seem a little over complex, however this is minor and does not detract from the benefits of the solution."
  • "Getting the first agents installed, getting information, and coverage in a initial set of systems can be done in hours and with a low cost entry point."
  • "Price (of the product) is a major concern for all the clients I work with."
  • "The licensing model is confusing in solutioning clients for the number of hosts needed to deploy."
  • "The product is superior to others, but it comes with a price tag that is often difficult to position back to clients."
