Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"It is the foundation for our monitoring solution.""The real value is our being able to pull all the historic data that we need in order to gather every little metric and nuanced piece of information from a given device, a given piece of infrastructure, in order for us to generate alerts.""It is easy to implement but requires good planning.""Easy admin functionality. You can quickly do all the admin functionality without reducing cycles.""It is easy to implement.""I definitely appreciate the flexibility and ease of use. We've been using UIM for almost three years now. It's pretty much point and click, very easy to use. And we've had no problems scaling it to our own environment.""Another division handed us the opportunity to monitor their solutions as written, and UIM was very useful for that.""Scalability and flexibility. The product can grow with your infrastructure so you don't have to install other products. Just add components. It's very simple."

"The initial setup of Entuity is easy and the full process took approximately 30 minutes.""Entuity's best feature is its ability to monitor a large number of devices.""I particularly like the theme and the dashboard that they have brought in this version. In the previous version, there was only a simple screen. There wasn't any dashboard. It was a simple view, but now, they have brought in a dashboard that gives the fields for the ops as well. They can get the data they want to see in a single place.""The best thing about Entuity is that it's easy to use. It's user-friendly. It's intuitive and easy to customize as per your needs.""The most valuable feature of Entuity is network mapping and information. When clicking on a particular location it can automatically survey the connectivity diagram for us. We can arrange this icon in any kind of formats, such as ring or mesh. The networking mapping can show the components and interconnectivity with the help of IP addresses and NetFlow.""This is a product that is easy to deploy and maintain with a positive end-user experience.""One of the most valuable features of Entuity is the user interface.""We find the SurePath component of this solution to be very valuable, as it gives us the path to whatever we are configuring."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"How we can get more native information from CA's solutions.""I would like to see auditability. We've built our own audit functionality to ensure that every CI has the desired model configuration applied to it. And we run that on a daily basis. If that became part of the product, I think it might be a little bit less intensive in terms of resource, because we're doing it with scripts.""There is also room for improvement in the reporting. It is not really good enough, according to our customers. So what we now usually do is use Power BI to get them the kinds of reports they want.""In the UMP, certain devices will show up multiple times and they don't correlate correctly. That's one of the issues.""We want to see more investment in the UI and the dashboard.""The other element is that there are no real templates, out of the box. Let's go with an example where we do have the probe, which is great, and we do have a really nuanced customer with a small set of devices that maybe not a lot of other customers use. There might not be a template in place, so effectively we have the tool in front of us but we still need to develop a solution. So it would be really nice to see a little bit more of something like a central repository of templates that we could use. That would help us expedite our onboarding process.""There should be wider coverage of storage infrastructure.""It is a little complex to use versus other softwares."

More DX Unified Infrastructure Management Cons →

"If we want to modify the calculation matrix or equation, we have to raise a professional service.""We would like the backup element of this solution to be improved as, at present, it is very limited and does not have much scope for customization.""Entuity could improve by having more integration because now network management is not a standalone solution. You have to integrate it with your network, applications, and everything else. We have to collect that information from those solutions or relevant managers. Additionally, the SLA dashboard should be improved.""Entuity can expand its coverage on monitoring VoIP solutions a little bit more.""In the most recent versions, Entuity has removed the Explorer navigation feature. This was very useful, and Entuity would be improved by restoring it.""Entuity can improve the fetching of device configuration. The solution uses scripts and I could not understand them or find any recourses on the internet to learn about the language that is used in the script. It could be more user-friendly and the device configuration management could be enhanced.""It should support IPAM or IP Address Management. When it comes to the network, IP Address Management is a feature for which we have to use a different solution. When we are managing networks, if IPAM also becomes a part of this, we do not have to look for a separate solution.""A typical user might want to see even more depth to the standard reporting and ease of integration."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "This product is expensive compared to other vendors (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)."
  • "The product-price ratio is better than other brands such as Fortinet or SonicWall."
  • "The license cost depends on the number of probes and robots."
  • "Reasonable setup cost and licensing prices."
  • "CAD $400,000 annually."
  • "Customers pay for the license and the support."
  • "Pricing for DX Unified Infrastructure Management isn't cheap at all. It's a complex tool, so you have to pay more. No one is happy with a large bill to pay, but if it's a complex product and you designed a complex solution to be monitored, it'll be your fault that you need to buy an expensive product, and that would be implicit in the design of DX Unified Infrastructure Management. Monitoring is just a small part of it. Sometimes you have to pay a significant amount of money for a complex yet very good solution."

  • "It can be comparatively expensive but that is because it is comprehensive."
  • "We have 400 licenses and we are only using 150 licenses."
  • "Entuity's licensing is very highly-priced."
  • "It varies and depends on the quantity. It's worth the cost."
  • "Entuity is not an expensive solution."
