Excellent task manager software - supports both management and workflow
Excellent task manager software - supports both management and workflow. Time tracking is available and much used in our firm. Integration with Microsoft Outlook is also a great feature, along with the ability to access from mobile. Being able to use Comindware Tracker for common processes or standalone tasks for crucial in our decision to test the software. The software is flexible and computer-novice friendly, making training required minimal and efficient to implement.

If customers want to change the color or the logo, they have to go through every page to verify everything is right. We have a strategic approach for the customer. I was involved in almost 100 sessions where the customers were looking for a one-time process visualization or one-time process mining, not for a long-term association with this tool. The customer's requirements are more tactical than strategic. We had some challenges during this time frame as I was with iGrafx, and electricity costs rose in Germany. One customer stopped a large deal because they had to reduce every non-invested investment due to the electricity bill rising by 500% to 800%.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Our purchasing team's efficiency and the productivity of our operations team have improved since implementing this solution."
"The most valuable feature is that any non-technical personnel can easily work on the solution, redefining processes and creating drag and drop workflows according to the department or cross-department needs."
"It was easy to set up my team with access credentials to their files."
"This solution can be useful for tracking the different stages of projects and the people working on them."
"It successfully routes hand-offs between different teams, adds transparency to workflows, and has a set of social collaboration tools."
"The ability to access Comindware Tracker from mobile has been greatly valuable to our organization. We are often out of office and this can create timeframe and task management issues. Being able to access tasks and time tracking while on the move is a great asset."
"Overall, this is an excellent workflow management tool."
"This software added transparency to our workflows. It helped with increasing throughput of clients and their satisfaction."
"We think iGrafx is well-priced, affordable; you don’t need a lot of license seats, and it has a good, free, downloadable iGrafx Viewer (akin to Adobe Reader)."
"One of the biggest plus points of the product stems from the fact that I have never seen any glitches in it."
"The solution is very stable."
"Another good feature is that the numbering of the shapes in iGrafx is much easier and more convenient, in comparison to what is found in Visio. So far I haven't found anything similar to what I have with iGrafx, in that regard."
"Provides a valuable BPMN feature."
"Web diagramming and RACI have helped expedite the process, capture, and ownership initiatives of our organization."
"iGrafx is the most comprehensive way to have all the cross-feeds and the documents related to workflows, like cross-notes."
"We found the technical support to be helpful."

Cons

"This solution lacks API integration with some popular websites."
"The UX/UI could be reviewed and revamped to meet new the criteria of Digitalization and Innovation."
"If your organization has only a few team members then this tool is not suitable."
"The initial setup seemed a bit complex, and there is no great documentation."
"However, if you have a not so common issue, it might take time to get a final solution."
"We are using the backdated version of this software. That is why we lack of some features. I hope when we update the version, then all the problems will be solved."
"I am expecting new updates to improve the software."
"The OpenAPI is good, but it is not enough. It lacks out-of-box integrations with popular web services."
"The solution could benefit from improvements to its interface. More specifically, when compared to other tools, the process modeling features lack symbols or object types that are used to represent the information or data within the process."
"If customers want to change the color or the logo, they have to go through every page to verify everything is right."
"With iGrafx, the implementation and the licensing were pretty complex."
"The look and feel, along with the ease of use of the solution's web modeling version, is an area with certain shortcomings."
"There are a few areas iGrafx which could improve, probably the biggest area would be to support iOS as well as PC, so clients don’t have to emulate PC on an iOS platform."
"Dragging and dropping shapes is not as user-friendly as in Visio. In Visio, it's very easy to work with shapes and in very few minutes you can plot a whole, multi swim-lane, cross-functional process."
"I would like to see a lower price, although when used correctly, you can have a good return on your investment."
"If the price of the solution was more competitive, it would have made things easier for our company to extend the usage."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Great value for the money."
"Setup cost is reasonable and average on the market. They offer simple licensing and price per user."
"Price per user works for me when they do not count my clients, which fill forms."
"This solution has a very lost cost."
"The price is so reasonable."
"The pricing and licensing is as per market standards, except that the process of extending licenses is also easy."
"I benefit from this software by getting a variety of reporting options and features for a relatively low cost"
"My company is trying to replace iGrafx because the license is a little bit expensive."
"Earlier, the licensing part was complex because there were so many modules and elements in the tool. Over the last one and a half years, a lot of work has gone into how the product has priced and positioned its tools in the market."
"I have heard that the solution's pricing is very competitive."
"The licensing part is one of the problems. Its licensing depends on the number of users, so it sometimes gets expensive."
"Our license is a subscription-based model that is per user. The solution is not expensive, I believe a subscription-based model is $10 per user."
